You predicted we would suffer our worst loss in Kyle Field history. We didn’t, we held our own against the best team in CFB with a true freshman QB.

I give a lot of credit to the crowd .

Sumlin lost any leeway with me. He'd literally need to have 3 straight 10+ win seasons for me to believe in any team coached by him.

Damn I'm far too giddy with seeing that game.

I give a lot of credit to Mond. He showed a lot of promise on the field today and he might be a heisman contender when he’s a junior.

I fell for it after 1998 when we won the Big 12, then proceeded to put away the bowl game.
I fell for it after the 2010 season.
I fell for it after the 2012 and 2013 seasons. I fell for it after being ranked 4th in 2016.
I'm not falling for it again.

We could very easily end up 10-3, the SEC sucks this year.

Perhaps you should find another team to root for? I hear Washington has a great team this year.

I do root for Washington and have taken my niece and nephews to a few of their games.

And have seemingly dedicated your life to being the turd in the punch bowl!
As for "fatass", my guess is you're referring to Liucci? You're about 2 years behind. I'm definitely a fatass. Liucci isn't and hasn't been for a few years. It seems really weird that an old fart like me is telling you to stop living in the past!

I suppose you were giddy after the 2009 t.u. game as well?
To me, it's just same shite different day.

I don't think anyone will be asking for Sumlin to be gone after this. Team looked well coached, prepared and a boatload of fish got beat in the end by a better team. They didn't fold down 24-3, they fought back and kept fighting, even though Bama is the better team.
Now Mazzone on the other hand, that's a whole 'nother story. His playcalling is so predictable that my seven year old figured it out.

My worry is that Sumlin gets extended because of recruiting and gets another fricking guaranteed contract with no reduced buyout. After all, our contract negotiators are t-ball playing against MLB.

CGSC: Well, not only is that funny, it's also true. That said, it appears that this team is not going to quit. At this juncture it about guarantees we'll be in every game this season. And I think TPTB will retain him.

I stopped wearing my Aggie Ring after the UCLA game. As long as Sumlin is head coach it stays off.

Well at least you still have yours. My evil ex-wife disappeared mine.

Uh, there’s still a lot of us out here. You don’t just forget the other 6 years of mistakes he’s made during his career just because of one close game with bama. And don’t use the young players excuse, it’s his own fault he’s playing so many freshman.
I may not be in the fire him no matter what camp, he needs to show a lot of promise and not stumble to the finish of the season like the last 3 years, but let’s not crown him king of the comeback yet either.
It’s amazing how short memories people have, y’all do remember almost losing to Arkansas and SC right? Barely beating 2 teams in the bottom half of the SEC by a single touchdown, still doesn’t bode well for the second half of the season.

I don't know about that. I like the effort, but it still wasn't enough to convince me that Sumlin can consistently win. Ask yourself this; can we beat Bama next year with Sumlin? Or the year after that? Can we even beat Auburn this year?
I don't think so.
Sumlin has had 6 years to figure this out and has failed thus far. At 5 Million a year, it's time to move on. I see this team winning 8 wins again and going to some shite bowl.
