Officially an "Aggie in transition," looking for job opportunities and was wondering how you guys network with fellow Ags and through what channels?

I think in most major cities in Texas there is also the monthly Aggie Happy Hour, I have never been to one but a few friends have. Also had a buddy that was over 10 years out of college go back and use the career services center that helped him with his resume and he ended up getting a job through a connection he meet that way.

My sister and Tbird I believe both got their current employment from TexAgs. There is an actual "job network" forum

Yeah I'd post in the job network forum.

TexAgs. No bullshite.

That's the main reason that, while I acknowledge the craziness on that site, I'll never completely disown it. Quite literally, I wouldn't have my job or my home without TexAgs.

Get on the job board. Be persistent. Be transparent.

Wishing you the best of luck. If you need anything and think I can help, holler at me.

I know the dallas Aggie club has a monthly job networking lunch or something of that nature I believe. Never been but I know they have them, plus happy hours.

yeah, i know i should do more networking with the dallas club, but my ex is heavily involved and we were together for a very long time. it would definitely lead to much awkwardness, but i should probably suck it up and say frick it and go.

Thanks Farmer... struggling a little bit, but not so much that I can't have a laugh. Just grateful I've got good family, a roof and a car.
