How do we still not know how to tackle?

I don't understand. Looked at the beginning of the season like we were wrapping and facing up more in the open field. Now we're back to trying to blow people up, missing, and then giving up 15 more yards.

Watts had an undisclosed upper body injury that's why he wasn't able to wrap anybody up

I think it had a lot more to do with us trying to rip the ball out constantly because UT has had fumble issues and it worked

seriously?! I really wish Secret Summy would reveal this shite, but I guess I understand that they would be targets if known. Still, he gets a pass for closing out the tenner game.
Still, looked like many more db's than just him were out there teeing up and whiffing.

Just a guess, but my guess is Chavis noticed that UT had previously had an alarming number of fumbles, e.g. Dobbs is #2, Kamara is #9 in the country. Though few of those were lost. So he made "GET THE DAMN BALL" a point of emphasis. And it worked, mostly.
If that's the case then I'd think the problem is solved all by itself, as Bama doesn't fumble much - Hurts is their only player in the top 50, and he only has 3.

point well made, that seems the most reasonable answer. funny how tenner fans keep saying "if we didn't fumble," ignoring the fact that we caused the fumbles...

The best part was LSU fans hoping for a melt from our defensive performance not realizing we don't give a shite because we won.
They have never watched a LSU team that could give up over 600 years and still win so I kinda understand.

This. A couple of those were run of the mill turnovers, but we also had some straight up thefts.
Side note: how many ball carriers do you think will have their heads on a swivel for #23 when they're approaching the goal line?
Watts has it down to a science--wonder if other elite safeties will start to look for the strip more in those situations.

No but they did see LSU give up over 500 in a win over WVU and then proceeded to tell everyone the amount of yards given up in a game means jack shite if you win.

Probably the biggest thing that bugs me about aggy is how many criticize sumlin for being tight-lipped about injuries. You not knowing our injury situation doesn't change a damn thing.
