I think they would have won just as much and stayed better for longer with Romo b/c of his mobility. Once the line started to break apart and Emmitt slowed down Troy was a sitting duck who couldn't carry the team.

Most recent playoff win was yet another Romo-led comeback. He's had a slew of them. One of the all-time. league leaders in that category.

Well... no. Not outside bizarro world. Romo is 2-4 in the playoffs. Aikman was 11-5.

Their respective teams were 2-4 and 11-5. Romo has never had the kind of talent surrounding him that Aikman did during the Superbowl runs.

I'm a fan of Aikman, but if I'm drafting a QB to start a team from scratch, I'm picking Romo.

You asked about 4th quarter. I cited comebacks. You went to overall record. You moved the goalposts and compared apples to oranges

Not to mention didn't refute Romo's comeback prowess. Taking total team out of the equation and comparing QB's with the tools to give you the better chance to win late, Romo is the better option.

Nuh-uh ! You responded to my question "Who do you want late in a playoff game?" with comebacks against chumps during the regular season. To win a playoff game late or otherwise you have to be in the playoffs. And when Romo has been there he hasn't been especially good, until last year.

I've nothing (anymore) against Romo. I even saw him wear a ball cap properly a few times, which blew my mind. It looked like last year after 9 years starting he was coming around. So what's JJ do? Get rid of the league's leading rusher, naturally. Bleah.

Aikman has exactly as many 4th Quarter Comeback wins in the playoffs as Romo: 1.

Aikman's entire career was pretty much made by the four seasons 1992-1995. By age 30, Troy was already essentially washed-up. Basically a league average QB. And that was with fantastic OLs. This past year was the first year that Romo had a supporting offensive cast similar to what Aikman had.

Aikman was good enough and had everything he needed around him, think McCarron

Romo is slightly worse than David Carr. Only a complete blind homer cowboy fan would say otherwise. He has lots of talent around him but can't get his own talent to shine and fails to lead.

2014: 435 attempts 305 completions 70% completion percentage, 34 TD's, 9 INT, 113.2 passer rating for the year. 12-4 record with 1 playoff win.

in comparison

Rodgers (MVP): 520 attempts 341 completions 65.6% completion percentage, 38 TD's, 5 INT, 112.2 passer rating for the year. 12-4 record with 1 playoff win (Dez caught it FWIW)

Lets not act like Romo is some kind of scrub. Hes gotta be the most scrutinzed player in recent NFL memory.

Good lord it takes some serious romo/cowboy hate to bring this type of garbage into the discussion. Either that or you are pushing for nomination to tArk trolling motor position.
