Seeing that group in person and it was crystal clear it's a different team than Sumlins. Played hard as hell, physical and disciplined. Jimbo schemed as well as you could hope. They very much looked like they belonged on the same field as us (I know that sounds condescending but it isn't meant to be).

You gotta be really excited about the future. Good luck the rest of the way - that team could be a handful by the time you get to Auburn and LSU.

Our secondary is just so bad. We should have major upgrades coming starting next year but it’s frustrating to see. I still don’t understand what we were doing recruiting those last few years under Sumlin targeting tall slow DBs

Thanks, y'all looked pretty good. I don't know if our front four is really good or your O line needs some work but we have been a different team against the run this year.

It's really not that bad. The guy who picked you apart is going to pick apart literally everyone and run away with the Heisman

I’m a bit interested to see yalls run game in future games. Was our defense really that good against it or is bama a one dimensional offense right now? It seemed like you couldn’t get anything on the ground.

No our ground game is solid. Damien Harris had 1000 yards splitting carries each of the last two seasons. With Najee and Jacobs it's one of the best stables in the league. And obviously our blocking up front is adequate. A&M was doing something right in that department

I don't see how anybody is going to beat Alabama unless they can generate a dominating pass rush to disrupt their passing game. It is not clear to me that there is such a college DL out there who can do that.

It is going take a situation like when the NY Giants upset the Patriots in the 2008 Super Bowl. The Giants weren't that special on offense, but had Michael Strahan, Justin Tuck, and Osi Umenyiora giving them a hellacious pass rush. They sacked Brady 5 or 6 times in that game and hurried him all night long.

Some might say, "What about Clemson?" A&M's OL protected Mond significantly better in the Clemson game than against Alabama. They will get to Tua a few times, but Alabama will be able to manage the situation. And Bryant will make a few plays, sort of like Mond did, but just not nearly enough.

I bet Alabama will end up beating them something like 41 - 27.

Bama beat Clemson because we pretty much shut down their offense, forcing turnovers and short fields. Our O was not spectacular. Both Jalen and Bryant have now been benched so it looks like it could be a very different matchup, if it happens

we ran alot more 21 and 12 personnel against clemson than we did against bama. i dont see bama being able to block them without doing the same and thats going to limit their passing game.

Can anybody match up with y‘all in such a way as to put some doubt in Tua‘s mind? Make him face some real adversity? Won‘t know what he really is as a QB until that happens, but I don‘t see any team this year, so far, that has that ability.

I don't think so. I mean, the second half and OT of the Natty against Georgia... He was hit, he threw a pick, he was sacked for huge loss in OT. Then you know what happened. He's pretty well unflappable

Anyways I know we joke around on the Rant but I really do love y'all. Here's my daughter in Bama gear, and my two nieces in A&M gear eating breakfast in Birmingham this past weekend
