Exactly. It's ridiculous. Trotting out exactly the same plays week after week and expecting success after defenses have film to study. Don't give me the "freshman QB mistakes" excuse. Supposed to be an offensive wunderkind nut can only make it work with JFF? Come on.

33 total offensive yards in the first half. Actually amazing that it was only 14 - 0 at half.

Yup.

The coaching staff really earned this one. Now we can proceed with talking about coaching replacements

Sumlin has to go, but I've read something similar to this nonsense at least 20 times today:

quote:

ESPECIALLY not one from Mississippi

... and have laughed my arse off at sanctimonious God's gift Texans. Dipshits. I mean that in a nice way.

My favorite is: "Texas A&M should never lose to ______, period." Given the historical just-better-than-average performance of our program, where does this posture come from? Maybe we can aspire to get to the point where we legitimately expect to beat certain programs (and I certainly hope that that's what we're doing), but that has to be earned on the field. Until we earn it, and maintain it over time, it's just misplaced arrogance.

It's personal for me. Used to live there

It is shameful for a school from that particular lesser place to walk in here and have their way with us.

I would guess in the northeast with all of your Klan buddies. Oh wait... Air Force... probably Columbus, am I right? Of course I'm right. I can definitely understand how a black man would have a bad impression of Mississippi after living among all those backwoods rednecks. Over here near the river (and in most of the state) with a WAY higher black population than Columbus we actually get along well. That doesn't explain all the other sources of similar quotes, though, which I still attribute to arrogant Texans thinking they're all that for living in Texas.

This is where you lose me. What has A&M done, like EVER, to make you think it is shameful? shite, Ole Miss beat Bama two years in a row and in one of their NC years. I know you just watched Dak beat the Redskins and were happy about it. And MSU was ranked #1 in the country for a while in Dak's breakout year.

Losing to Mississippi State is like losing to Texas Tech.

Wrong. Keesler AFB in Biloxi Side note, that's also where my parents met.

Touché, asswipe.

I'm honestly surprised to hear you had a rough time in Biloxi. They aren't generally, you know, racist knuckleheads. This is somehow obviously your fault.

Biloxi/Gulfport is the best part of the state, IMO. Traveled all over while we were there, though.

Probably. I've accepted the fact that I'm a bastard coated bastard with bastard filling. Was probably even worse growing up

I agree with your self-assessment! Well done. Meanwhile, keep it up with dissing other states and in particular this one. Nobody wants to move to Mississippi and rightfully so. The state should be avoided like the plague. Just don't come here. You've been warned. Instead, live in quaint little communities like San Antonio, Dallas, Austin, and Houston where there is no traffic, property taxes are really low, and there is no crime to speak of. You are welcome in advance.

Well, I've been to Starkville plenty of times and I've never seen a grandma stand up on her table in McDonald's and scream "Get the hell out of here, Aggies! You suck!" So there's that. There is literally nothing I would lose my mind over like losing to Tech in Lubbock. Fortunately for my sanity that didn't happen in '75 or '77.

On the football front, MSU has been way more successful than Tech lately even when you erase their A&M wins. So I don't agree with your point.
