And while this excuse would never fly for a big 3 sport, I’ll admit I’m also a fan of his character and who he is as a person. (I said it doesn’t count if it’s a big 3 sport, nobody bring up Billy Kennedy, I’ve seen that argument bashed out too many times and it never goes anywhere).
He sat down next to me at a church charity event and talked with me and my dad for a good 30 minutes like a regular dude, he was the guest speaker that night and spent a lot of time at the various tables asking everyone how they were doing. He and his wife donate a lot of time and money back to A&M and various charities. Sumlin was just in it to let his agent make him the most money possible so he’s a different argument beside the fact that we are a football school first.

I hear you and understand. But at age 72, you have to realize your time has passed. You just don’t have the energy or are as quick witted as a younger person. Go work for yourself ... but it truly is a younger persons game at that age.

Like a deaf-mute interpreter on camera with him. In his final year, when I watch him implode I’d like to be able to understand what he’s saying. Auburn and Arkansas are definitely the easiest after LSU. If Arkansas was more active they would be a prime target. They hired an Aggie who we basically told to frick off and he hired our former DC
