Not true, I'm living proof. As for JFF I hope he is getting his shite together, that remains to be seen. I believe he could do well in the CFL but it will be telling to see if he checks his ego and humbles himself and signs.

My gut says he won't. If he was serious about making a comeback, he would have taken whatever the CFL offered him and worked his way up.

It's obvious he didn't want that. He just wanted as much money as possible without having to work for it. He's in no position to demand shite! This Comeback Season (I ain't abbreviating to that dumb shite) is just a PR stunt in order to sucker Aggies into buying his silly overpriced merchandise.

Downvote if y'all want, but bullshite scent is strong here. If he was real about a comeback, he wouldn't have been at the Kentucky basketball game.

I tend to agree. 50 bucks for a hoodie lol.

He was away from social media for a long time then recently started posting almost daily promoting his clothes and pop up shop.

I'm guessing he was low on funds or just saw the opportunity

Some of y'all need to take a few steps back. Y'all are way too emotional about a guy that you're not even related to.

Johnny is just a great college quarterback that happened to go to our alma mater. If he gets shite straight that's great, I really hope he does, but I'm not gonna get mad or upset either way.

Y'all gotta chill.

Or maybe he actually decided to get his life together and hired a PR firm to help him rehab his image.

emotional

This has nothing to do with emotion. It's just calling it like you see it. Some guys want to work hard for what they want and others want to take short cuts.

Johnny just reeks of the latter. He was offered an opportunity to prove himself and turned it down because he didn't get what he wanted.

Very rarely in my experience, and when they do it's usually a life-threatening event that triggers the change.

Nah for me it was seeing my life for what it truly was and I didn't like what I had become, so I did something about it.

I hope so.

He took some shots of tequila though during his autograph signing with someone who brought in a bottle. Highly doubt he ever goes fully sober

This seems like a little much. Be skeptical. I am. That's fair. But c'mon you can't just tell if someone is lying because you saw them in an interview on TV.

Oh, it’s true alright.

People can stop drinking or doing drugs, my uncle did, but they can’t ever stop being addicts, which is why they can’t allow themselves to touch it.

In terms of personality traits and tendencies people sure as hell can’t stop being assholes, or a grifters, or lazy. That’s all ingrained after a certain age. Sociopaths who lie constantly and manipulate everyone around them won’t ever develop empathy and become decent people. You can’t turn a ho into a housewife (and make it last).

Sorry that this doesn’t fit with the narrative of personal redemption that Americans are so emotionally invested in, but it’s true, and one way or another, life’ll force you to eventually come to the same conclusion.

But it's not. Maybe it's more likely or more common to not change. There are plenty of exceptions to the rule.

There are exceptions, I am not going to get into it but I will say I am no longer a manipulative, lazy con man that runs over whatever is in my way to get what I want, I am a hard working productive member of society. I know several more people who are the same and yes it's true that there are a lot more failures, there are also a lot of success stories too.

He didn't take the offer b/c that's what his agent told him to do. It may or may not be bad advice in the long but it's not like this was his decision alone. One of the biggest stipulations for Erik Burkhardt taking him back was he has to do the things he's told.

I think he is still planning on going to the CFL. This spring league is only 2 games and would finish before the CFL starts.

It actually was. The agent works for him, not the other way around.
