We def beat Missouri and probably LSU with him. Plus you know Kenneth Trill would have kept on the straight and narrow with John setting the example

JFF was asked to leave, he had gotten to out of control and the powers that be didn't want the program to be embarrassed on that scale.

He was definitely way bigger than the program at that point. And obviously had no qualms about flaunting that fact.

Definitely think he would have been asked to leave had he shown any indication he was considering staying.

In "I've made a huge mistake" news, Kyle Allen, who declared for the NFL after he was benched in Houston, was not invited to the NFL combine. LINK

I feel like we dodged a bullet there.

There was no bullet dodged. He was a major part of tearing the team apart his last year.

I've been saying it for a while now that while Kyler Murray absolutely was a team dividing douche, Kyle was really no better than him when it came to being an entitled baby who hates competition. It still makes me laugh that Kyler was a big enough douche that everyone seemed to forget Allen was looking to transfer when Kenny Hill initially beat him out for the starting gig.

Everyone gave Sumlin so much shite for how the QB situation went down but really at the end of the day he was straight fricked b/c Kyle always had one foot out the door and Sumlin was essentially required to recruit Kyler.

Obviously there were other issues but those two kids had a lot to do with his fall.

Sumlin was truly put in a lose lose position. It had to suck. His big mistake imo was not detailing the injuries to KA which probably soured him to the extent he was bailing no matter what.

Maybe. Personally I liked Trevor Knight and some of our wins in 2016 was some of the last A&M football I really enjoyed so I appreciate Kyle moved out of the way to let that happen.

Sumlin put himself in the situation by handling everything very poorly

Oh he messed up. And hindsight is 20/20. What would you have done? He had to take kyler Murray and had KA. The powers that be and the fams were always screaming to put Murray in.

He could have made a better evaluation, recruited and signed Stidham, and let him and Allen compete. Play the best player. Win a few more games. The fanbase would get over it when it won.
