Bud was about to start getting his arse kicked on the reg b/c he didn't understand spread was about to take over.

I think Pop just does what he can to not lose the 3rd seed and get everyone healthy for the playoffs.

T-Wolves only 1.5 back and the Thunder are 3 after a very shitty start. Better watch out. That 4 seed means you get GS on the road in round two and match up with Minny or OKC in round 1. Neither would be ideal.

Nah, he was done. He just didn't know it yet. West Texas football hasn't been shite for like 20-25 years. The guy was clueless when Mox busted out the spread in practice. The parents didn't know what the hell they were seeing either. Pops was all "5 WRs? What the hell?"
Too bad for the team that Mox was a shithead who quit on them right before the playoffs.

Outside of a few exceptions, West Texas has never consistent. They don't have the type of athletes you see inside the Texas triangle and East Texas.
That by itself makes it even more impressive that Bud had a powerhouse in talent-starved West Canaan.
