Am I less of an Aggy if I said I never went to Chilifest? The thought of mud, shitty music, sun burns, and vomit doesn't sound like much fun to me. I could go to NG and get hammered far easier and more efficiently.
I had my first fling with my current wife there so for me it has good memories. I always prefered ACL back in the day though, way back before ACL was a cash grab.

I went once, and while it isnt all bad you arent missing much. The music is good but there is a good Texas country act to be found in B/CS at least a couple times a month. Its gotten really crowded, its hot, you end up with the worst kind of dehydration hangover, drunk frat douches are everywhere and the cops really started cracking down on alcohol related offenses in the late-2000s. There are a ton of citations and arrests every year now.

Not sure if this is the place to put this but I figured it might hit one of you Ags or at least someone you know but it looks like oil prices will sink again.
In a nutshell OPEC was expected to cap output so prices would go up.
Iran, fresh off of sanctions, wasn't going to cap shite now that they can start exporting again.
Saudi Arabia, archenemy of Iran, was not going to let Iran benefit by being able to export all it wants while it caps. Especially if prices rose.
So the deal to cap was scuttled and now no one will.
Geopolitics are a fickle thing.
Era: Apparently it'd be even worse if there wasn't a massive oil worker strike in Kuwait that stopped its production by 50%

If it does happen i dont think we will see the impact until the "travel months" are behind us.
I am in finance for Oil and Gas companies and projections are that we could see a shockwave from that, but it will not be a sudden one.
If it was November and this was happening I could see a rapid decline, but with the summer travel months approaching they arent projecting a cliff dive like earlier this year/late last year.
That being said, I work around alot of optimistic frickers, so it could fall off Price is Right Mountain Climber style tomorrow and these guys wouldnt admit their projections were wrong.

I agree that travel months should help the demand side and we hopefully won't see futures drop off a cliff again. Hell, crude is up over a buck today so it doesn't look like that meeting scared too many traders right now.
I work as a commodities broker and have read some interesting stuff on it from other market tie-ins. One article I saw talked about how crude is somewhat mirroring soybean oil and Palm oil both of which have found their bottoms recently and have been trending back up, so the $26 low we saw a few months ago would hopefully be the lowest we see it get. But who really knows these days....
