I recommend finding someone you know with a piece of land or hook up with a hunting club and take a few guided hunts to see what it's all about. When I was a kid we had a big arse lease down by Bay City some of my favorite memories are of learning how to hunt ducks there, I don't get to do much of any hunting anymore other than hogs and a couple of times a year for deer because I can do it right here close to home. Sometimes it sucks to be in charge

Speaking of rustled jimmies, it's now almost 6:30 eastern.

Just watched the segment where they described how mobile QBs can beat Bama and got legitimately depressed watching Johnny. You just KNEW that stupid motherfricker was going to make plays happen. He single-handedly ruined our expectations forever

Yes. Never killed though. It's kind of a strange game to hunt as they can either be so elusive you can barely get a shite within range or they are so dumb you could kill off your back porch. Not really what I'd call fun hunting for the most part. Go hunt mule deer or antelope.

I am reading a bunch about the North American Slam (Dalls, Bighorn, Desert Bighorn and Stone's) Really intriguing. Guessing I will never make enough money or get the chance to pull the tags for the hunts.
My goals right now are:
1st deer (white tail)
Hog hunting
Mule Deer
Aoudad
Elk.
I think all of those should be doable. And each seem really interesting and would make good shoulder mounts.

So the bar my friends picked tonight just happened to be the official Watch party of Clemson. I yelled Roll Tide at least 90 times. For TDs, first downs, sacks, time outs, 3 yard gains, tackles, and just about anything. My friends reported s good dozen or so dirty looks and a handful of guys who wanted to fight me. All and all, good first half.

I'm working on getting onto some old family land. Really hoping that works out. It is down right around Comanche. Has several huge stock tanks, good fields for bird and some tree cover as well.

here. it's waned a bit as the kids get older, but i still dove and deer hunt at least once a year each.
i broke a 5 year drought with a nice 10 point slumpbuster this year.
