I would say the typical Aggie poster from Texags is very similar to the typical Arkie poster on Hogville and the typical LSU poster here. All are fanbases with largely good old boy southern folks from small towns and have a religious-like affiliation with their school's athletics. That atmosphere is nurtured on such boards.
I think the average Aggie here is far more reasonable, because the Texags types get run off quickly.

We didn't make the board toxic. Joe did when he wouldn't give Chavis the contract he wanted. This is just all that playing out until the season starts and we finally have catharsis.

This is completely spot on. The only real discussion thread I've ever had success with was by posting a very open ended broad question with zero input from myself like "Which of LSU's freshmen will play this year?"
If I added my own analysis like I think X player will start and I think Y player won't see the field, the thread would immediately devolve into why Y player is better than any A&M player that ever lived and why am I so obsessed with LSU.

We're not gonna back down from LSU's constant shite talking, sorry. If I felt like LSU fans actually wanted real football discussion, then I'd respect that. In the meantime, tArk is the place for real football discussion.
