Wife is in a bad mood after learning the score - I’m not getting any tonight. Oh well. She will get over it soon enough

If we can somehow find a way to win tomorrow with some combo of Prager/Palisch/Tucker then I’d roll with Dallas on 3 days rest on Thursday. He won’t be able to pitch the championship series but frankly OU is better than Ole Miss or Arkansas so I’ll take my chances.

Not sure if Dallas can go on short rest, honestly. He was showing a lot of fatigue until we benched him for a weekend. Have to get through today before it matters

I would rather Dallas come in late if we need him. Between Prager, Rudis, Cortez, Johnston, Moo, Tucker, Palish I think we can find ~18 innings.

Have a bunch of lefties available is big against OU. I agree I think we can get 18 quality innings from those guys. Maybe try to use Dallas for a bullpen type day and 30-40 pitches (2innings or so) if we have to

Mostly just need to keep hitting

Yeah if we go anywhere beyond here, it'll be because the bats are on fire.

Prager starting for A&M.

OU throwing RHP David Sandlin. He was the first guy out of the bullpen in their opening win against us, faced 5 batters, gave up 2 hits, a walk, hbp and a K. He's typically a starter so not sure if you take much away from a poor relief appearance. He also got roughed up by Virginia Tech in his previous start.

It’s baseball and the baseball gods like to laugh at any predictions or expectations you make, but here goes.

The path to the finals.

We saw Sandlin well last Friday. We saw him so well that OU went to their closer up 4. In that game, we saw their ace, #2, and closer. I think we can jump on Sandlin today and force them to use their closer (Michael). If we can burn him up then that kind of leaves their ace(Bennett) on an island tomorrow. Work counts, foul balls, etc. wear him down and get to the bad part of OU’s bullpen late tomorrow and take it from them.

This is just the perspective of our offense vs their pitching. Our pitching has to patchwork itself to two wins.

It's about as favorable a scenario as you can hope for this far in the tournament.

Was hoping for a repeat of Friday's ABs vs Sandlin, instead we get a repeat of yesterday with 3 Ks in the 1st inning

Well, I really thought we'd score more than one. Gonna have to come up big in 7-8-9

As tough as it would be in any situation, this will be extra hard. Their closer (#99) is nasty and can go all 3 if needed.
