I saw on Twitter, McKinley Jackson is back with the team at practice today.

I don’t think he’s ever been separated from team activities, But loochi does expect him to probably have a one or two game suspension to start the season

Has he been participating in practice? Or just present?

He has been present but not dressed out until today. Full pads and full go.

Any idea how many games he’d be suspended for?

I have absolutely no evidence of this but I'm jumping on the Calzada band wagon, i think he gets the nod as the starter.

Yep, I saw that. I think his ability to spread the ball around the field accurately is what's going to get him the starting position. You saw them min and a half clip of him and King throwing go routes?

He's not accurate, or at least has not shown that in any game situations. He may very well earn the starting position, but he better have improved greatly in that area.

Any references for that? Or just the few 2019 moments we got to see him?

I feel like he is/will be greatly improved since then. just my opinion though

Game action we've seen, plus both spring games have been underwhelming. Not to mention he didn't win the backup job last year.

Look at it this way, he has a cannon and throws a nice ball. If he was that accurate, why isn't he the runaway starter if that's the case?

I'm not going to crucify the kid for not blowing us away as a freshman regardless of the level of competition he played against in those few glimpses

Neither guy really looked all that great to me in the spring game this year

On the flip side of that coin why hasnt King won it yet?

I'm of the opinion that whoever Jimbo chooses, is going to do a great job for us. The point of my comment was to say I have seen a lot of talk about how it's Kings to lose (and it very well might be) but I wouldn't be surprised or disappointed if Calzada got the job. Just some fall camp banter to stir a little conversation before the season gets going

King will be the starter, if you listen to Liucci. What is even more interesting is that it looks like Bryce Foster is going to be the starting center on the OL.

Jimbo has spoken pretty highly of him too

And I’m not arguing who the starter is gonna be in just saying it wouldn’t surprise me if Calzada got it, I fully believe whoever wins it will be great

Foster is a monster(and mountain), but I hate the idea of starting a true fish at center with our aspirations this year. I wish Matthews would stay healthy.

Foster is big enough that he will not get pushed backward at the point of attack. He's also smart, and has played center in high school. He could easily be a three year anchor for us at center

Listened to the Beliucci hour today, Looch seems pretty certain King is the guy. Hopefully we know by the end of the week

If we really start 2 true freshman OL, you got to pick the guy with wheels.
