Sounds like Levi Jones and his family have a limited the sips. They were not too happy to Charlie Strong firing. They posted this twitter link, which actually sums up how many coaches and recruits thought about A&M last year.

Even as the resident liberal Aggie here I can't point the finger at Strong's race playing any role in his firing. Motherfricker lost to Kansas, marking their first FBS win in 2 fricking years.

Whether his race played a role or not in his termination does not matter. What matters is that you spin everything in order to get ahead. Fox News/MSNBC 101.

I can, very simply.
David McWilliams, a white coach, was 16-20 after 3 seasons, ONE HALF GAME BETTER THAN STRONG, in a much weaker conference, yet HE was given a 4th and 5th season.

As long as Kansas doesn't do something stupid and fire him, Beaty will get them to Iowa State's and Tech's level in no time.

Add the fact that Charlie inherited a program with a country club atmosphere and had to purge so many talented, yet privileged, players should have at least bought him 4 years minimum.
tArk's stance should be that the sips fired him because they weren't comfortable with Charlie being black. Sips fired a black man only to bring a white man to come in and reap the benefits of the black man's hard word

Optics are pretty bad, but ESPN will spin it for the benefit of the LHN. Herman's squad had LSU level talent compared to the rest of the programs in the AAC and he lost to SMU, Memphis, and Navy. He gets nearly a 100% raise with elevators that will get him to $6M.

I think he meant in terms of recruiting. While TAMU probably has a slightly better setup, they face very similar problems (strong instate "flagship" rival, no sustained consistent success etc)
In terms of on field product, well TAMU's Big6 membership application is still pending further review until they win something important.

They aren't botching anything. They've already got their guys. I would love Stidham, but he may want to go with Briles and both the Sips & Auburn have an opening at OC.
I suggested hiring Briles as a non coaching staff member (Bama has 21 of them), but got blasted by the board. You want to get some elite guys, you have to start paying their "handlers" or guys these kids have great relationships with... This is how Bama, Auburn, and LSU get things done. Their staff isn't out working anyone, they are out spending everyone.

Nothing surprises me in this board. We got guys who want Sherman back despite his 4-8 season (losing to Arkansas State) and poor recruiting.
They complain about Sumlin taking a chopper to games and having a DJ at practice, but they are ok with a white coach running around with diamond grills in his mouth.

I'm on the record of not liking Herman. He wouldn't be a good fit for the SEC or our team, despite people crowning him king for beating Bama on 2014. While had good defenses at Cougar High, they weren't really known for being physical. We need more aggressiveness at A&M. No more full time finesse Spread offenses or soft defenses.
