You don't organically go from 100% favoring a team to not considering them.
I think he went so hard in the other direction to make other teams more likely to give recruiting him their full effort. At the end of the day, were still a top option for him.

Well obviously, but he's playing the game. If he still maintains A&M as a favorite, other teams may not fully believe he's 100% open.

Never underestimate the appeal of attention. Same thing happened last year with Mack. That is the problem with early committing, there is a sense of "missing out" when less talented players get a ton of attention because they aren't committed yet.

2/3 would be intense. Hudson isn't really an option to my knowledge.

Seems to me we also could use another running back. Preferably a difference maker at the position that can stay on the field.
Someone has to replace Carson next year. James White can't help us if he has a bad back. Is he even practicing anymore?

Anybody out there actually seen Speights or Whaley play? I don't mean YouTube highlights, an actual game. If so, fill us in on what your gut tells you about them.
