I mean, the last 16 months or so has been program killing stuff. In 2017-2019 this class is going to cripple us.
It's worth a pretty solid melt, especially for those who trucked themselves into thinking Sumlin was still the guy in spite of all evidence to the contrary.
Hope that extra $5 million was worth it.

Technically we are paying him that $5 million for coaching this season. It cost $20 million to dump Sumlin either way, we just got an extra season out of it this way. But the cost was always the same. I honestly think it was less the money than the lack of options. If back channels to Herman would have been positive we would have found the buyout money. Now if next season isn't a miracle we have to hope the new AD can find the right mid major diamond in the rough.
I honestly don't think this class kills our future chances, but it does kinda take our fate out of our hands. Now not only do we need a little luck, but we need other dominos out of our control to fall the right way- like Texas gets eight wins next year, Ole Miss gets a real punishment, Baylor gets a really nasty lawsuit, etc. What sucks isn't a single class, it's that after 2012 we alone controlled our fate and that is no longer the case.

Earth calling Roger......no, this class fills most of our needs pretty well, all we are missing is strength at TE and Back ups for DTs if we lose some early to the draft

The Anderson Bros, diesch, McCollum are the 4 best OL and we are still getting all of them
