When six other teams in your conference are top-10, yes.

One class like that really isn't as big of a deal as you've made it out to be. That said it doesn't seem like we will be top 15

Pennamon just announced he's gonna announce tomorrow instead of tonight

Especially when we seem to be off to a good start with the 2017 class behind Martell

brice put out an update on Penn. good/bad?
so really we are still in it for 4 or 5 players that would put us in the top 15. worst case and we miss on the majority of players, we are around top 20.
regardless, all this late recruiting minutia means nothing if we don't prove it on the field next year. And yes, this is directed to the posters who have made this board hell on earth and will continue to do so until we win a NC.

Let's take a closer look at the 2007-2011 classes.
The 2007 class brought us 2 first round picks (Ryan Tannehill, Von Miller).
That class went a collective 33-31
The 2008 class had 2 combined draft picks (Cyrus Gray, Terrence Frederick) and went a collective 37-27
The 2009 class had 3 combined draft picks (Ryan Swope, Christine Michael, Sean Porter) and went a collective 42-23.
The 2010 class had 5 combined draft picks (3 first rounders) and went a collective 44-21.
The 2011 class had 2 combined draft picks (both first rounder: one the Heisman winner) and went a collective 43-22.
So far, the 2012 class, Sumlin's first, has gone a combined 36-16 with zero combined draft picks and 2 at best in this year's draft.

and not likely to have any in this year's draft
I mean Ifedi is clearly going to get drafted. I've seen Mike Matthews projected as a 5th or 6th round guy also

Y'all are gonna laugh but we have some mods saying he wants to sign with Ole Miss but is having to wait for a spot to open up. Seems crazy to me but I guess you never know.

2012 was Mike Sherman's last recruiting class. Sumlin was only the HC for 2 months before signing day. He was pretty successful in holding that group together. If my memory serves correct, Sumlin was able to add Thomas Johnson and Derel Walker to that extremely small class.

Didn't he go get devante as well or am I losing my mind?

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think Daeshon Hall was a signing day surprise.

Devante was a late Sumlin add, along with Walker, Pope, Polo (RIP), SABIAN and Otis/Tramain Jacobs .
Hall was a 2013 flip from Mack/Texas.

I remember back when we were off to a good start for 2016 with Greg Little.
