Jack Jones LINK, doubt he is actually our #1 right now, maybe our #1 from Cali.

Terry Joseph tweeted out that he's going DB hunting on the west coast, so I think you're right

Leflore-Chriss has always wanted to be an Aggie. We just never offered until now.

We actually offered almost 2 years ago. He came to our JR day as a sophomore with DCS and Tyron Johnson (they all went to NOLA Warren Easton). Most of his offers are from that time frame when he looked like a potential 5*

However, I believe he blew his ACL and so everyone stepped back. His recruitment has just now taken off again but you're right that I think he always wanted to play with DCS at A&M (since way back when). I suppose the best way to say it is we re-offered post-surgery

Really kinda frustrating seeing this staff go in on 1 or 2 players each year only to get burned in the end.

Not sure why you see it this way. Chavis doesn't really use many. We spent most of this year with only 2 on the field.

We never extended offers because we have a lot of LBs on campus and we have other needs. We offered the elite guys because they are elite. Don't really see it as a big deal with Dodson coming in and no seniors. I believe we're only going to have 2 seniors next year even.

Hard to believe someone could watch out LB play this year and think taking only 1 guy is fine.

Having Alaka back and Hilliard on the bench will help

We've got 8 scholarship LBs returning next year and we mostly play 2. Simply taking more bodies doesn't solve the fact that the 2 out there are bad.

But running the same guys out there does?

I don't get what your plan is here. The alternative you appear to be suggesting is taking average recruits and throwing them out there as true fish instead

This!

I get where you are coming from TMC, but...

Out of all our linebackers, other than Richard Moore, who has shown you the ability to stay healthy?

Alaka is great, can't stay on the field.

Walker, not as great, because I haven't seen him enough either.

No longer have Reggie at LB, wasn't going to play anyway.

Dwaine Thomas, who knows if he's good or not?

Riley Garner, same as above, plus he even has a history of getting hurt.

Claude George, looked lost most of the time.

Shaan Washington, can he stay healthy?

A.J. Hilliard, can he stay healthy?

Landis Durham, maybe he'll be good. Seems like a guy that will blossom more toward his Junior & Senior years

Not going to bring up the Squad players names, but if one of them break into playing time... we screwed.

So, out of our best 5, 4 are injury prone, can't feel comfortable about that.

1 has played and hasn't looked great, maybe with a year under his belt (George) he'll be much more polished and play faster.

The others are unproven and haven't played.

damn, I forgot about Claude. We actually have 9 returning LBs

SR - Hilliard, George, Washington
JR - Walker
SO - Alaka, Garner, Moore, Thomas, Durham

That's a lot of bodies. Add in a true fish in Dodson. It's time to quit recruiting and start coaching

Did Alaka get a medical redshirt this year?

Recruit SEC caliber LBs. Multiple ones. Every class.

Outside Moore and Alaka, I don't like any of the other guys. And even they have a lot to overcome (Moore' size, Alaka's health). Dwaine has a shot, I guess, but he seems super raw.

Don't want to start a new thread for this, so I'll attempt to weave it in here.

Speaking of receivers, I just saw that Christian Kirk had surgery. Don't believe I had heard that before. Anyone have details?
