So Ketch just said on the radio:

"When you look at what happened today, it is very clear that Baylor and TCU-despite the year they had- do not matter in the state of Texas."

He is right for once.

Anyone extra is just a bonus. Getting Roquan Is like getting a bonus and a hooker under each arm.

Well, juco players often wait until the dust settles. Maybe it's a juco CB that Chavis has his eye on.

I don't know (where did he graduate?), but I think my favorite piece of recruiting this year was all the TCU fans screaming how much they want to play us OOC.

Interesting. Who hasn't signed yet? Might be that QB from Blinn

Honestly I would take the Blinn QB anyway. We have the space and need someone at QB who isn't going to transfer over being second string. Also MLB insurance.

Check out this tip-top statistical analysis from BOR:

By 2018 Texas will have a negative recruiting class!

Some aren't happy with the class, some are content, and some are overly happy. Where do we really stand? The dust hasn't settled but looking at our team compared to the rest of the division we are gaining. Based on recruiting for the last 4-5 classes only:

bama

LSU
AU

A&M

OM
MSt
Ark

I used 247s team number both average and points to look at averages.

Bama is head and shoulders above everyone, no question. LSU and AU are next with LSU averaging better, but looking at the classes for the last 5 years, A&M has nearly closed the recruiting gap. Ole Miss is distancing itself from the bottom pack recently, but has a bigger gap to reach the teams above.

Good news is we are getting better. The bad news is everyone above us has recent national championship teams, so we'll need on field results if we want to maintain or pass those teams.

LSU - 89.98 average rating - 2 5 stars, 11 4 stars, 10 3 stars, 2 2 stars
A&M - 89.86 average rating - 3 5 stars, 11 4 stars, 11 3 stars

LSU ranking - 5
A&M ranking - 12

Overall I agree with that.

Charlie having another crappy year and the Big 12 getting shut out from the playoffs (or KSU going which is the same thing to us) in 2015 would help.

Absolutely. But I doubt a JUCO guy wants to come in and compete against TWO five-star QBs (MLB Draft is in June) with almost no shot at starting. He's probably looking for a landing spot where he can have a good chance to start immediately.

We didnt load up on the 2 stars this year. Really hurt us.
