Thanks. Kinda what I expected was the case. Would have been nice to have things "ready made" for him, but at least he has enough other pieces to give us a competent defense next year, if not quiet up to LSU standards out of the gate.

The difference in quality in the top 13-14 is almost miniscule. Besides, we still have to wait for ketch to drop some of our guys further down and some of Strong's guys up.

Out of curiosity do you know for certain that LSU didn't try to recruit any of our CBs currently on the roster? If so, then maybe a couple are.
Just trying to figure out why they aren't his kind of guys. In my opinion our technique at CB was borderline pathetic and technique can be taught with proper coaching.
The technique we have been using where we chase a receiver 3 yards behind with our back completely toward the QB doesn't seem to work so well.

I think they offered Harvey. Chavis likes long combo DBs, not small corners and big safeties.

Technique is not something where you say "just do this" and a guy does it. It takes a long time to fix little things that mean a lot. Jalen Collins redshirted. He barely played as a RFR. Now he's leaving early and is a projected late 1st round pick.
The easiest comp is saying your golf coach sucks because you don't just do it right every time. There are a million little things and high school coaches usually aren't very good. You are a great athlete so you just go play and you are awesome. You show up in the SEC and your first game they ask you to cover Shaq Roland. A coach saying don't bite on the double move is just not going to be enough
