I'm amazed at how it's gloom and doom after signing one of the top DT's in the country and adding one of the top 5 DC's in the country.
Overall, this was a great off-season, and I think we will all be pleased in the coming weeks. But today was very disappointing, considering what we've known/expected this week.

Anyone who is disappointed with this class has been following college football for only a few years, guaranteed.

I'm hoping he can develop Justin Manning properly unlike Sny_er

And you wondered why I called you out back in December.

Lol you guys, two of the most successful corners at LSU under Chavis, Mathieu and Claiborne, were not highly touted out of high school.
I follow LSU very closely, and I have since my childhood. One of the keys to their DB success is that they get TONS of them. The guys who start for LSU always have to really earn it.

I'm sorry. This wasn't a great offseason. This was the best offseason since Sumlin took over for Sherman.
I actually believe, by Sumlin standards, this was his best offseason. Because the biggest problem the past two years (defense) has been addressed at the highest possible level. Not by some 18-year old kid signing. But by a DC coup.
I, for one, cannot wait to plant my behind in my seat at Kyle Field next September....

Solid class
it's a lot better than solid. Maybe not as good as last year, but it's elite. There are zero grade risks and tons of really sharp guys. We struggled in '13 with some character issues but not one guy has even a hint of bad news surrounding him. This class will perform better than it's rankings and it's ranked really high

Not at all, IMO. We good, mane.
Here, have some maroon kool-aid. Just sip some.
No, really, SIP IT NOW--not an option

Alright. I'm getting off this board for today. Apparently, I'm a downer. Battered Aggie Syndrome is a real thing to me.

On a related note, do you have any info on what Chavis thinks of the CB talent already on campus, and what he thinks he can do with it?
Not his kind of guys tbh. I'm not sure what he'll do with them. You have the tools you have so bemoaning it isn't going to change anything. But it won't surprise me to see a few guys move around.
His top 3 commits when he came on board were 1) Elam 2) Evans 3) Keke

Today was pretty much the worst scenario possible, considering expectations last night. But I guess I'm a shitty Ag.

What the!?.....seriously bruh. This class is legit. We have three 5*!!! When was the last time that happened?
The meere fact that we were able to have such a great recruiting class during a cycle where we fired our DC speaks volume. I know Auburn was under the same circumstances, but those fools have big time bag men. We need to step up our bag men game

Are we done or is there some surprise still waiting?
Posted on 2/4/15 at 12:17 pm to TbirdSpur2010
Is Johnson the only guy left?

Barring this damn "surprise" nonsense, I think so

This class is 4th in our own division. The expectations are insane. It's a great class. Compared to our conference, it's middle of the pack.
Stop responding to me people, I always check my replies.

Lol. Never thought I'd see the day where we (A&M) land the 6th best player in the country and a fan says he is disappointed.
