Liucci's updates make it sound like there is nothing here except Murray legitimately considering Texas a better option.

That just doesnt make any fricking sense at all. SOMETHING had to have happened to kickstart this, though it still doesnt explain why he would legitimately consider Texas.

Also, just a heads up to everyone. SwaggerCopter is not my name on TexAgs. Somebody has that name, so it's confusing as hell, even when I read over there on occasion.

Losing Kyler/Lodge/Mack would suck obviously, but it's a very real possibility that Kyler would be going to tu alone. Lodge to Ole Miss and Mack to TCU are very plausible.

We have top-notch recruiters on staff. We'll close out strong. My only concern is QB depth, so I hope we either get a JUCO or can flip a three-star who would be so flattered with an Aggie offer this late that he would jump.

Until that day comes, let's lock up Boyd, flip Sheffield and Bussey, and get Hollywood.

Looch just posted an update after speaking with someone very close to the situation

Kyler is still giving tu strong consideration

Not leaning towards tu as being reported by sip spin machine

Very much a toss up right now

Sumlin will have in house Thursday to solidify situation

Honestly, it sounds to me like Kevin Murray finally fully realized that he wasn't going to be able to have his way. He already supposedly butted heads w/Sumlin before and the way they have gone about things recently makes it seem like (to me anyway) that he is the real issue gumming things up more than anything.

It's not a good look for the Murrays to suddenly inject so much needless drama at the last second and I really doubt that Kyler is at the root of it w/the way he behaved up until this point. It makes them look like drama queens and potential locker room dividers.

If you want to go elsewhere, go ahead and be upfront about reopening your recruiting. This cloak and dagger stuff is incredibly petty.

Thanks for letting me know. Just read it. One of the posters on there said: "The more time that passes from the Austin visit and he remains committed the better." I completely agree. Shiny, new things are always exciting at first. When the shine wears off, you see things for how they truly are.

Kevin Murray might be acting petty, but he isn't a dumb businessman. He knows - as we all know - that the best chance for Kyler to play at the next level is to play at A&M (or Oregon). Ultimately, this might just be a big F-U to Sumlin with little consequences since they've already decided to go the pro baseball route.

And, this is all conjecture. No one knows what really happened, and no one knows what will happen. I'm actually feeling more positive right now about Kyler staying than I have been.
