Also, I'm not concerned about Kyler until Spav and Sumlin throw out some offers to uncommitted 4 star QBs, or they try and set up an in home visit with a QB. I just don't see Kyler leaving them hanging with 2 weeks to go until NSD.

Lol @ tAggyArk's response.

Are there even any uncommitted 4 stars available? Regardless, I think it's too late to get into the game with anyone else. Ags completely shut down QB recruiting after Kyler committed and told Stidham thanks but no thanks more than once. A QB who hasn't heard from A&M in 7 months is not going to suddenly jump on board.

Question about bag men and all five stars getting paid... Does anyone think Kyle Allen took money? His family has money, so I just can't see it. Same thing with Kyler. The Murray family has plenty of money. But I'm seriously curious about everyone's thoughts on this matter.

Even if your parents have money, there's always grandparents and aunts and family friends.
Manziel wasn't hurting for cash when he signed autographs.
I think very few recruitments are straight-up auctions between bagmen. But I think just as few recruitments are 100% clean. At any school, except maybe the service academies.

Just glancing over 247 it is pretty slim pickings, but I trust Sumlin to have some kind of back up plan in his pocket if he had any feeling that Kyler would actually flip.
After seeing how he has handled the new coaching hires I trust he knows what is going on. Yes, recruiting can be a damn tricky thing, trying to figure out the mind of an 18 year old is impossible, just look at Newsome today and Bussey a few weeks ago, both made comments that they switched schools a few hours before they announced.

I hear Gentry is looking around

Hamm thinks something major happened after Kyler's official visit. Kyler and people around him had said that he was 100% solid. He apparently had weekly phone conversations with Sumlin to give him updates on guys he was recruiting and personally guaranteed a few guys after the official visit (guessing Lodge and Mack). Now, Hamm is unsure if Kyler will stick. Maybe the blowup between Kevin and Kevin has some teeth. This is crazy.

Where are you seeing that?

The Daylon visiting tu thread. It's buried in there. Hamm was fed up with people bitching so he gave away some information.

All of this is mind blowing

Well, something fricking happened. I don't know who to be mad at because I don't know wtf happened.
Posted on 1/23/15 at 6:34 pm to Asian Sensation
I'm past the point of being mad. What happens, happens.
I think this phase is called confusion.

If Murray père offered Sumlin some unsolicited advice on how to run his offense and/or his program, I can see that going over poorly. Similar to the much-rumored conversation with Jefferson over not letting him in the loop on the DC search.

I started at confusion. Moved into rationality. And now I'm mad. This whole time, I was under the assumption that he's just being an 18-year-old kid. But now, if something actually happened, that doesn't sit well with me. How do you lose your most important recruit days after a really great official visit that had him saying he was 100% and guaranteeing recruits?

Lol. You're the one who's supposed to be melting.

You (might) lose it because these kids(and their parents) think their sh!t doesn't stink.
