Hope spav can point out today how bad a move to Texas would be

I hate to say this, but....The odds are that Kyler will make his money(future or immediate)in baseball. Going to texas would be the move based on that.

Doesn't make sense to me, we are a regular top 25 team in the best baseball conference and he would start immediately

If you're correct and that's what he cares about he won't be going to college anyways

If you are good, you are found in baseball. Everyone knows who Murray is. He could go to Alvin Community College and get drafted high for baseball. Rob & A&M are on him for baseball as much as tu.

Don't think its been posted, strong is apparently promising the starting job to Murray already

If Kyler does it for the starting spot, his stock will drop. He will run for his life every game on his way to a 7-5 season at best or injury at worst.
Strong almost turned Ash into a vegetable with his selfish desire to win at all costs

Sigh. The MLB draft is extremely different from the NFL draft. Extremely. Your post makes absolutely zero sense. If he gets drafted and signed, where he goes to college makes no difference. If he chooses to go to college, how he plays IN college will be determinative of his future draft stock, not how highly ranked his team is or how well his team plays. Baseball, as compared to the other major sports, is pretty individualistic. All major league baseball organizations employ many, many scouts who watch many, many games and see many, many prospects. Example: Trevor Rosenthal was a SS at a community college. On the day that a Cardinals scout saw him, his team's pitcher couldn't go, so Rosenthal was the emergency pitcher. The scout, who had been there to see someone else, saw Rosey pitch ONE TIME, and that was enough for the Cardinals. They drafted him as a pitcher.
A highly touted high school prospect - as Kyler already is - doesn't suddenly fall off the radar. If he wants to play baseball, where he goes to college doesn't matter, especially if it's between A&M and Texas.

Liucci just said on Texags radio that he is trending towards Texas and then Looch-danced around the question of whether or not he thinks it happens.
He came as close to saying "he's flipping to Texas" as I've ever heard him say on air though.

Did you actually hear it? Two posters apparently had two different interpretations. From another poster:
quote:
-Looch just said he would still be shocked if Kyler actually flipped,
-Because of the way it would have to happen: texas has nothing going on right now as a program, leaving A&M exposed after they showed so much loyalty, letting down Spavital, letting down Kirk/Moore other players he recruited, letting down A&M fanbase.
-Said let's let this play out.

And, to burst my happy Merritt bubble, Brice says this
quote:
There have been some rumors the Merritt would trip down with the Bussey family this weekend. We've been told by people close to the Merritt family that Kirk will not be making the trip to A&M this weekend. Merritt still has concerns about A&M's stable of receivers, and is looking hard at Oregon and Auburn.

I've written off the 2015 season regardless of record due to ORS, but what are the repercussions for Kevin Murray if this flip happens?

He'll be largely disowned by both the fan base and the AD, at least until Sumlin is gone. History shows that Sumlin doesn't take kindly to perceived slights.

Didn't see til just now that TD Moton decommitted from Bama.

I've been trying not to say it, but if Kyler fricks over Christian Kirk and doesn't come to A&M he is the all time a-hole of recruits.
