Justin Martin was scheduled to go to Auburn this weekend but just tweeted this

@Elite_made
I'm just chillen this weekend no visits.

So, James Lockhart apparently deleted some tweets that seemed like they were calling out Kyler:
@James_Lockhart9: I swear when you a 5 star you can do anything.
@James_Lockhart9: come August the reality Check will strike

It's about perception. Oh, look, tu can flip an A&M legacy and longtime commit two weeks before NSD. They're on the come-up!
By the way, I don't think Kyler will flip. I think this trip is a bad look and confuses me (seems like he's not as 100% solid as people thought he was), but flipping to tu is too illogical and irrational. However, if he does, I think it will be disastrous.

Kyler wouldn't pull this on christian kirk. It's fine.

That is what makes me upset. I feel Kyler is more sold on us than Kevin is from what I have read elsewhere.

I've read the same - that Kevin doesn't like Kevin. But Kevin also told Kevin that A&M would win a national championship with his son, so...
Whole situation is weird.

maybe he thought Kyler was going to start from the get go and can't be promised that at A&M with Kyle Allen here.

Saw this rumor floating around. Where did it originate from? I've seen no confirmation either.

If Kyler, Malik, Daylon, and Lodge all ended up there it might be worth it just to see the TA servers meltdown like they did in '99.
Daylon is more than likely just looking for some more attention though and there is nothing to this.

From Ketch @ OB:
Approximately six weeks ago, the idea of the 2015 "Mystery Recruit " for the Texas Longhorns became a public idea when I casually posted the following at 12:21 a.m. on December 7th:
"Finally, I hate to dangle a little red meat in front of everyone, but I heard some gossip today that was so good that I have to share at least a morsel of it with you guys. Per one person that I trust, there's scuttlebutt going around this weekend among the players on campus that there is another big-time 2015 in-state prospect that the Longhorns are making gains with that would do nothing but help with the remaining big-time players on the board. Let me inspect this a little more and see what I can dig up before I go throwing names out there. Stay tuned."
After weeks of hushed scuttlebutt and curious wonderment, all of the mystery is gone and now bigger questions have arrived.
Allen quarterback Kyler Murray is visiting Texas as I type and its implications and possible impact cannot be valued in words.
Let's just try to work our way through a number of thoughts.
a. Kyler Murray was the mystery recruit. Duh. What happened on that official visit weekend was that prospects were openly talking about Murray's interest in the Longhorns through level-one confirmation and the word got out.
It reminds me of the time I was at Houston Lamar High School and I was having a conversation with Rod Babers moments after his commitment when Texas assistant coach Tim Brewster called Babers over. When he returned, I asked Babers what Brewster wanted and Babers said, "He told me not to tell you about what's going on with Chris Simms."
Too late! I always wanted to tell Brew in my Brock Hudson voice, 'You didn't really think I didn't know, did you? Oh, you did? That's so sweet."
b. This is an incredibly trick recruitment because Murray's dad is only the greatest Texas A&M quarterback who ever lived (outside of that Johnny guy) and it goes without saying that his son showing an ounce of interest in Charlie Strong's program after he had already committed to A&M would potentially create some tricky conversations for the entire family. Seriously, imagine if Major Applewhite had a son and the same thing happened. So this thing is tricky, then, now and in the future. It's not like the family has any issues with the school or the program at all.
c. The issue would appear to be that perhaps Charlie Strong's ideology as a man and coach connected better than perhaps the alternative.
d. It's possible that this thing could have never materialized and the nature of his interest would have never been known, but if he was going to show his Longhorns cards at some point, it would happen late in the recruiting process. The issue was whether the flirting would turn into a date out into public. Well, Murray confirmed the date by tweeting confirmation of his interest this afternoon.
e. If you're wondering how serious this is, understand that this visit never becomes known if it isn't serious. The Murray family is not trying to make life more difficult for everyone in the family for a few retweets and new followers.

f. It's a huge deal. Kyler Murray is your starting quarterback in South Bend if he signs with Texas. I have no doubts about that at all. In my mind, he's the future of Charlie Strong's program if Strong can convince the kid to pull the string on a commitment to Texas. Part of that has to do with UT's limited options, part of that has to do with the fact that the kid is really freaking good and part of that has to do with the fact that he would be Charlie's guy. Charlie didn't recruit Tyrone Swoopes and Jerrod Heard.
g. Again, it's a big deal.
h. I'm fascinated to see where this goes from here. Tweeting the No.1 Texas jersey was like taking a bite out of the apple all those years ago… it can't be undone. The focus of the entire state is directly on Murray and the implications of whatever his actions are will break hearts somewhere in this state.
i. A commitment from Murray to Texas would represent the single biggest recruiting moment to take place in this state since… hell, I'm not sure. The elements of this story are bigger than the factors that made the recruitments of Adrian Peterson or Vince Young. I'd probably go all the way back to 1997 with Tyler John Tyler defensive end David Warren (No.1 player in the nation), who committed late to FSU, despite being related to Earl Campbell. Like I said it's b-i-g.
j. Get your popcorn ready.

So painful to read his writings.
a. It's a terrible stream of consciousness format.
b. Every other point is him fellating himself.
c. His pats on the back for vague "inside info" becoming true are completely undeserved. (I'm hearing the weather will change tomorrow. OMG it's one degree cooler today I told you the weather would change!)
d. Did I mention his style of writing is terrible? Because it is.

I don't usually melt but if this happens and we lose a couple more that he has recruited for us I might just have to. Dammit
