Dumbasses
Interesting tidbit about Stidham. I had no idea.

Lodge is in Austin with him. From what I understood, Murray flipped. Not sure how a stronger UT and weaker Aggie helps Baylor.

If he truly leaves to play QB under that staff then whatever. It would be a crippling loss, but when they make a decision as dumb and baseless as that is it reminds you they're just kids.
I would rather have Lodge go there than Ole Miss

My guess is kevin is letting his son do what he wants and pave his own path while offering advice when asked for it. I'm sure idiots are blaming this on him but forcing (or trying to force) your son to go to school somewhere is just dumb, especially when he's not paying for it

I should have put a question mark, sorry. Edited.
If it was Baylor, or Oregon, or someone with QB play worth a darn I would get that. But Shawn WATSON? Kevin should offer the advice of running the other way.

I would disagree. In fact, I would say that except for a stretch of 3-4 games last year, QB was the least of our problems. Sumlin and his offense will be fine with competent QB play.
We are going to be just fine whether he comes to A&M or not. If we need another "Manziel-like" person at QB, something has gone desperately wrong.
That's my opinion anyway.

Yeah that's why I'm not that concerned. If it was Oregon I'd be scared shitless

Our class would fall apart if kyler left. It would be insanely crippling

Aside from the fact he helped recruit several members of our class, it's way too late to add anyone of significance at QB in this class. We would likely be rolling with Connor McQueen or some true freshman 3* as our backup next year.

I Murray goes to Texas I will self-immolate

+1. How do people still not realize that he's the glue who's keeping this class together (and was apparently recruiting hard for us behind the scenes all this time)?
Plus, the negative publicity would be extremely damaging for 2016 recruiting. This goes so far beyond mere qb play.

Once again... if we are relying on an UNSIGNED kid to keep our class together...
Well frick.. we must suck at recruiting.

Kyler is THE rock star of Texas HS football. Everyone wants to play with him. So, yeah, we're using his commitment as a selling point with other recruits (directly or indirectly).

There's also the whole one scholarship QB thing I addressed

Now this is just flat out wrong.
We go 9 wins or better this year and it won't matter a flip if we lost him
8 or less and it won't matter that we got him
Winning only 7 is why we've hit a little speed bump in momentum, nothing more

y'all are just way too serious. Relieve a little tension guys, seriously. Relax and have another look at the highlight vid Gerry posted

We're dominating Texas recruiting because of our momentum/swag and because tu is currently not very good. If Kyler flips to tu, those head-to-head wins over tu will be so much harder to come by. They'll be seen as the program with a bright future.

Well we did for a decade prior to Sumlin. It takes a lot of luck in this game.

Even if he went there and balled out their ceiling is 8 wins
If we win 9 or more WE will be the momentum program still
