Would be perfect as a safety net at QB but I'm guessing he wants to go somewhere he can play

hell to the no

I'm taking that comment as an admission you didn't watch much of Houston the last couple of years.

That dude was terribad once schools got some tape on him.

Would you rather have him playing or McQueen? I said safety net, as in third string QB

I'd rather have McQueen.

I really don't think you understand just how bad he was.

I would rather have someone who has started 14 or whatever FBS games in a very similar offense to ours as third string than 5 foot 9 165 pound walk on Connor McQueen (no offense to him, I'm sure he's a great kid), even if it costs a schollie.

their offense was similar to ours in that it was a spread that did a bit of HUNH

other than that, ehh, not really.

He got benched for a 5'11 (if that) guy they were running at WR. Not a Tannehill cannon arm WR type either.

The kid doesn't have it upstairs at all. He makes Joeckel look like Kyle Allen. He may as well be Logan Thomas. He looks like the part. But when he plays... Buzz, your girlfriend... Woof!

The only video I've ever seen of Connor scrimmaging at a&m was a pick 6.

iirc it was Chad Moeller on that pick But I wouldn't underestimate Red Lightening

I'm not sure O'Korn has the mental makeup to ever be good but maybe that can be fixed with coaching. Regardless, we are going to be thin at QB for a while yet and it's really hard to take a 2nd QB in a class that is better than a guy like John O'Korn.

247 is reporting that Hill is transferring to TCU.

Sorry it didn't work out for him here, but I never heard of him being a malcontent after he lost his starting spot to Allen. Wish him the best at TCU, and I hope he tears it up there.

there's a lot more to this story that will probably never be public. Hill was not invited to return. He's a good guy and I hope he does well at TCU but he needs a fresh start

It really is crazy how meteoric his rise and fall was. Hope he can find his head there.

I definitely agree with that. Shame the way it went down with him, but I wish him the best of luck at TCU.

Honestly, I'd mentally moved on from him for the upcoming season. Even if he had the moxie/talent to win the starting job back, it'd have been peculiar to have him back at the helm.

We need a guy to come in that's already graduated from a p5 school and can play similar to Showers. Just a guy with talent for one year so Murray can redshirt and a scholly can be freed up for 2016 after he's gone

I'm pretty sure they changed the rule last year allowing it.

Nah, it was actually put in place specifically to counter the grad transfer rules. A player has to have 2 years of eligibility which is how Bama got Coker as he had 2 years left
