Any news concerning B Will's move to the secondary and how that is going or how the d has looked the first couple of days or how the new running scheme is shaping up?

Chief commented yesterday he looked good. But here's the thing: it's extremely important that Williams completely buy into the move. They need him to embrace it or it won't work. Even if he struggles, you're going to hear he is doing well right up until the day they flip him back to RB.

I honestly think he won't shine until they put the pads on. A lot of guys - especially on the perimeter - look good in shorts but aren't physical enough. I tend to think that's when Slim will excel.

This is what I'm worried about. Saw him retweet a video of himself doing a RB drill recently.

TA have been giving him rave reviews in the limited time they've practiced.

Yeah, Liucci is already locking him in as a starter despite the fact that he isn't even on the two-deep right now.

Ties back into the sunshine pumping I was talking about. He is giving the best case scenario regarding every issue right now. I'm afraid he is getting the hopes of the lemmings up far too much.

Future All SEC Safety

Edit: Maybe 2 of them, but I was referring to Evans for 2015.

Exactly. Harris excels without pads but lacks the physicality. Slim may just be a beast once the pads go on, and he may enjoy the position more as well. He enjoys the physicality of the game if you watch his special teams play.

Harris is actually a pretty physical player. People get caught up in a couple lowlights and write him off.

full presser today at 11:30. Sumlin, Spav, Chavis. Will be carried at 12thman.com

They were in shells yesterday so a bit of hitting. Hopefully interesting but our local press kinda sucks though as they ask lame questions.

welp, nevermind. Apparently our athletic department is incapable of streaming live video. It's broken (again) and the full pressers will be on youtube later. No idea why they aren't streaming these via SECN+

Sam's post from other thread

It is really heartening to hear Chief say that he sees enough talent in the program to get the job done. Talent + really good coaching = really good things.

I really agree. When you listen to Chavis, you get the sense that he feels pretty confident in the pieces he has. I haven't seen a lot of interviews with him so I'm not sure how candid he is quite yet. Everyone has slightly different coachspeak

I wish someone had asked him more specifically about the LBs but maybe next interview. The next media access is monday (tomorrow's first practice in pads and Saturday's scrimmage will both be closed)

Is the Alaka injury true?

Junction is actually saying that it's false. Of course it was on ******, so naturally, they discredit it.

The only thing TA staff would say was that Alaka didn't participate. That there are several guys not participating due to minor things.
