Gerry if you think I suck, wait till you see what our #76 ncaa ranked scoring defense turns into in a couple more years if Sumlin does not commit four star players for all 11 defensive positions this year.

Sumlin will not be at fault this season with an expected 4-8 record on the field because he is stuck with what he inherited but he can recruit defense this year to start building for a better record against ranked teams a couple years down the road.

Gerry the one key is just to watch our four star player defensive recruiting this year to see if we will still be losing to most of the ranked teams we play and win against most of those unranked teams in three seasons from now.

Hope you root for the Ags Gerry.

It's actually "IIII", but only someone who frequents the campus would know that.

Since you gave away the answer, I'll have to come up with a different one:

1. Why is the dome on the academic building green?

2. What is the significance of the large tree near the Sul Ross statue? (2 things)

3a. What is the lore behind the different wildcats?

3b. What sound is the junior and senior wildcat based on?

For the other Ags...the mods on the help board want to see some links to miller_58's crap on other boards before they get rid of him (I'm hearing "he" may be a "she"). Someone more well versed in web-fu than I am would be best suited for this.

I'm pretty sure identity fraud (using someone elses information to get an AgTag on TexAgs) is considered lying, cheating, AND stealing.

CGSC Lobotomy I have a couple for you which you might be able to answer?

1. Who is your CO at Ft Bragg?

2. Does he ever go on the internet to look at your almost 25 posts every day during duty hours for the last couple of years?

3. I'm going to the Ag scrimage at Kyle this Saturday with three other good friends, Ags and one has a son at Ft Bragg so I'll tell him to look you up and say hello if he doesn't already know you from ypur posting?

4. We must be patient with Sumlin because he inherited the absolute barest cupboard in the last 20 years and he must have a couple of years starting now to recruit and coach a four star defense and a four star special teams.

There are only 67 BCS teams so an A&M scoring defense ranking ncaa #76, special teams ranking worse and turnovers at #100 is unacceptable. Sumlin has his work cut out for himself!

LSU 2012 The best way I can describe our team now is we are 5 offensive linemen and almost nothing else against the world. Remember just over a year ago when LSU scored over 40 points to beat us badly in the Cotton Bowl, well we are sadly a much worse team this comming season.

YES LSU 2012 this had better be a great recruiting year or our coaches will be in big trouble early, our fans have learned from the RC. Fran and Sherman experience not to wait too long.

Have a good evening LSU 2012.

Nice try. However:

1. I'm not the one claiming I'm someone I'm not.

2. I've only been registered on this site since we joined the SEC, so "25 posts every day during duty hours for the last couple of years" is not mathematically possible. 1161 (my current number of posts as of this post) / 243 (number of days between mid-September and mid-April + 1 due to a leap year) = less than 5 posts per day INCLUDING weekends. Take my old TexAgs handle and add my current one and the number comes out to just under SIX posts per day (including weekends) on that site since 1999.

3. My CO at Ft. Bragg is the CO at Ft. Bragg; same as every paratrooper on post.

Not even remotely true. A "bare cupboard" is what Slocum left Franchione, and to a much greater extent, what Franchione left Sherman.

CGSC Lobotomy I want to first say I appreciate your servive to our country.

Second you misquoted me, I did not say Sumlin inherited a "bare cupbpard". I said Sumlin inherits the "absolute barest cupboard in 20 years".

By that I mean at QB we have three 3 star and a four star true fish that have no game experience, 5 good linemen that need to learn to pick up blitzs, one RB with a broken leg and a true 5*fish who has never picked up a college blitz, and WR's who simply can't be depended on to catch the ball.

I saw most drives stall last year due to dropped third down passes.

Swopes does well at the slot but needs to catch the ball every time as well.

Our scoring defense was so bad it ranked ncaa #76 and got much worst when it's star cb Judie finished along with T JE, etc. Our front 7 is bad and we have a true fish 4*OLB, 4*cb. a 4* true soph CB and a couple of 4*fish safeties all with no experience and need coaching and S&C before they help.

Special teams are worse with Judie gone and what can you say about A #100 turnover ranking except coach them to catch and then hold the ball.

We ended up the season out of the top 25 teams by every service and are a worse team today.

Sumlin will suffer this season becuse he can't change what he inherited, the "absolute barest cupboard in the last 20 years".

If Sumlin does not fill all 11 defensive positions with 4* ranked players we are dead for at least the next three years. Only winning against most unranked teams and losing to almost all ranked teams just like the last 20 years.

CGSC Lobotomy your numbers don't check?

This site says you make 6 posts every day and the other site says you make 19 posts on it every day 24/7, total both sites = 25 every day?

"Joined 7/4/10 @4:23pm and has posted 11,392 times in those 20 months. Arny officer Ft Bragg, NC." Please reconsile the descrepancy in account began july 4, 2010 and has 11, 392 posts as of today and your post above saying 1999? Only people who would make that many posts I can think of are athletic department marketing types controlling site tone, controlling poster access or mods?

Maybe someone can help me out here?

regards

Had a previous account that was banned when Liucci threw his temper tantrum over the Corey Nelson fallout. Didn't bother posting again for about a 6 month period until a colleague needed to reach me on the Military board. Quickly ratcheted up the posts to get out of Rookie and Pro status.

Sumlin just said on Houston radio that the next two weeks of recruiting will be exciting and recruiting will be finished by mid-summer?

Well he has 11 defensive positions to each fill with four star ranked players and he has only 2 four star ranked defensive tackles so far.

I hope the next 2 weeks are exciting "good".

Sumlin and Sherman have already recruited almost a hundred two and three star ranked players at every position so we don't need any more of them for the next five years if we are to improve to a winning level vs almost all ranked teams.

We need a vast improvement immediately from our #76 ncaa ranked scoring defense and worse special teams ranking by adding only four and five star ranked defensive players!

Almost all of the 7 prime recruiting positon coaches we hired except one are weak on recruiting(rivals coaches) and at the lowest end of the salary scale(texastribune.org) so it will be interesting the next few weeks to see if they get the other 9 four star ranked defensive recruits needed to just start building a winning defense.

I want to beat all those ranked teams we play and stop losing to almost all of them like the last 20 years and even some unranked teams>

It is time for four star ranked commit recruiting results by the Sumlin 10 now!

Nothing wrong with only having 5 jumps. Jump 10 this past week almost went horribly wrong.

-Our biggest problem on offense was playcalling. Sherman could not get out of his NFL mentality.

-As far as QBs, you don't put up 75 touchdowns in one season (Manziel) without being special. The fact that he was only a 3-star, despite being the Houston Athletic Club player of the year, was borderline criminal.

-With RBs, your analysis is almost completely wrong.

Christine Michael broke his leg in 2010, not 2011. He tore his ACL after running for 899 yards in just over 150 carries in 2011. (9 games) You conveniently left out Ben Malena, a 4-star back, who is a junior. Brandon Williams is a transfer, not a true freshman, and Trey Williams is Trey Williams

As far as the O-Line, A&M allowed the 2nd least sacks of all of last season, so I think they know how to pick up the blitz. Between the starters, they have over 110 combined starts (4 4 stars and 1 2-star) and they're a whole lot more than GOOD. Offensive line is probably the strongest position on the team by far.

You completely leave out EZ Nwachukwu, Kenric McNeal (injured during the OSU game), Brandal Jackson, Malcome Kennedy, Nate Askew, and the 6'5 Mike Evans that we return, as well as our tight ends, who were grossly underutilized last season.

Our defense was hurt more by poor second half offensive playcalling and an absolute refusal by DeRuyter to change his calls when things weren't working (remember Garrick Williams defending Arkansas' Wright...who had 200+ yards in the first half alone?). I think you grossly underestimate who we have returning:

Defensive End: Demontre Moore and Brandon Alexander were both 5.7 3 stars. Spencer Nealy was a 2-star because of the fact that he was only going to A&M. Would have been a 4-star if he listed tu as "interested". Gavin Stansbury was sought after by LSU and Ivan Robinson was a 4-star.

Defensive Tackle: Jonathan Mathis (4-star) returns. Kirby Ennis was obviously good enough to play as a true freshman before he tore his shoulder his 2nd season. Depth here is still a major concern and all of our DT recruits thus far are 4-stars.

Linebacker: Sean Porter, while only a 3-star, is clearly the best linebacker on the roster. Johnathan Stewart is a 4-star, and Steven Jenkins (5.7) should have been, as should Shaun Ward and Donnie Baggs (5.7). Tyrell Taylor needs to put on some weight, but has the potential.

Defensive Back: Not sure why Floyd Raven (4-star) didn't play more. Howard Matthews is a 4-star, and while Toney Hurd is a 3-star on rivals, he was in the ESPN 150. Again, DEPTH is our primary concern.

quote:

Coryell Judie was injured much of last season and it showed in our return game. Randy Bullock is a major loss, however:

-Taylor Bertolet was more highly regarded coming out of HS (#1 kicker in that class) and didn't have to play as a true freshman.

-Drew Kaser would have been the starting punter (boomed a 70 yarder to end the Idaho game) had he not been hurt the rest of the year.
