Nobody's close. They've been a force or outright won 5 nat'l championships in about 6 weeks now...that's ridiculously impressive.

From 2010 census

FL = 18.8 million
LA = 4.5 million

18.8 / 4.5 is roughly 4.2 x and based on population growth since that may be 4.5 to 5 x now. the bigger issue tho is per capita numbers (which I think LSU leads the nation) and in state competitors for talent. LSU has just Tulane to share recruits from while the Gators must share with Free Shoes, Miami, and a host of G5 schools.

At least LSU is still winning when it comes to playing games in bad weather instead of postponing or canceling them.
