He was ballsy and brazen in using black churches as untouchable bagmen. Which makes his holier than thou act over NIL just utterly loathsome. He was fine with paying players when it gave him an edge.

He’s mismanaged the whole thing, he went all in on hs recruiting and then developed them with inexperienced coaches. Just watch them play, they take bad angles, play reactionary, they don’t wrap up(just hit with pads), vanilla schemes, not physical. They’d be better if they used the portal but they are poorly coached on all fundamentals. That’s why they looked slow and weak last year despite having nfl potential at most every position. This year is just what it looks like minus the nfl talent. Coaching staff needs a complete overhaul.

No different than Saban: parameters of the game changed, his style of coaching and recruiting didn't fit as well; Saban was smart and got out early; Dabo will ride his pride into the ground.

Saban would be the best coach in this era if he still coached. He built msu from an after thought to regional power, took lsu from a 7 win program to national power. He was old and saw a good spot to exit and did.

This is VERY different from Saban. That comparison is comical.
Saban was old as shite and he was still clearly a very good coach when he retired. His last team went 12-2 and 8-0 in SEC play. The game changed dramatically and he was 70+ years old and too worn out to deal with the demands of NIL/Portal football. Saban's "decline" was going from ~1 loss a season to ~2 losses a season.
Dabo on the other hand is just 56 years old and has gone from fielding 0-2 loss per season teams to 4-6 loss per season teams which is a massive drop-off, especially when you consider that Clemson plays in the ACC. The difference here is that he clearly isn't a good coach, and likely never was, which shouldn't be a surprise considering that he was a WR coach turned HC. Clemson's dominance was created by a couple dominant coordinators and a period where they were paying elite players on top of beating up on weak ACC teams. Now that everyone can pay players and the coordinators that carried him are gone, he has been exposed as a mid-tier coach. Comparing his collapse to Saban's natural age-driven decline is beyond silly.
