That’s a season killer for NCSt.

Nah. This was more unbelievable than the kick six. That field goal was a ridiculously long attempt. It wasn't just unconscionable that the kick would come up short.

What just happened was inconceivable.

By incredible you mean the biggest choke job I’ve ever seen, then yes. It was.

6 seconds left on the clock. NC State had the ball basically in their own end zone. If they had ran out the back of the end zone OR if the QB had gone down for a sack safety they would have won by 1 point. Instead the idiot fumbles in his own end zone and it's recovered by Vanderbilt for the win.

You would think but you can’t trust a clock operator to do that. They called the right play. At worst you punt after a safety and win the game if the qb wasn’t brain dead.

That is the most miraculous ending since the Michigan state punt block.

Intentional safety was definitely the right call, you just run out the back of the end zone. The risk of getting tackled isn't worth trying to get the last second gone.

He should have just run straight to the back of the end zone.

I don't think it was even worth worrying about whether there was a second or two left on the clock when he did that. They'd just have to prevent a miracle TD on the free kick.

Right. They would have been up 1 with 1 second left and Vanderbilt would have been trying a lateral return instead.

Dumbest frickin shite I've ever seen from a QB there. And the coaches really. You tell him to take the snap, run to the back of the end zone and step out the moment you're about to go down.

Yep, The miracle on Markham is my favorite. Was a great finish, not a choke job.

Head Coach is totally responsible for that
Play call. He's in way over his head obviously

The Miracle on Markham doesn't even compare to what just happened. It was awesome no doubt, but what just happened was literally unbelievable.
