Blue blood? The only people who think Texas is a blue blood in college football are Texas fans. One quarter of epic running performance by a QB away from the overwhelming majority of your fanbase never being alive during a national championship is hardly blue blood level football.
Texas fans have the arrogance of Ole Miss (with no basis), the smugness of Alabama fans (with fewer championships, and the obnoxiousness of LSU fans (with no recent championships to support it) all rolled into one.

Care to back that up with data? I understand why they get talked about as one, it's because of their money and large fanbase.
