I'm sorry but that was some pretty cowardly playcalling there by Elko on the end of that drive. Making Bama spend a timeout rather than attempting to score a TD. Bama still has a timeout left and 1:47 left is still plenty of time when clocks stop on out of bounds and 1st downs under 2 minutes.
