Fun fact…not assassination related

The term 86’d was originally used at a speak easy called Chumley’s in NY. The back door address was #86 so if there was a raid the workers would say “86” and that was code to rush everyone out the back door before the police arrived.

Met George Strait at the PMAC in the early 90’s.

I was working as a medic for the show and was backstage after.

Next to the stage was a barrier with a few fans still remaining. A girl yells out “are you worth going to jail for?” I had no idea who she was yelling at, laughed & turned around and George was standing there. He saw me laughing and asked what she said…told him and his eyes got really big and said “tell her NO!”

Later he was eating at the back stage buffet with the crew (only time I ever saw the talent hang with the crew after a show). He was very cool, talked with him for a few minutes.
