I had a breakdown in Britney Spears’ home town many years ago but I didn’t notice her or the people there having any kind of notable accent. Probably just depends on where you are.

Brittany Spears is from Kentwood. Kentwood is may as well be in Mississippi, and is way far south of Baskin. They're nowhere near each other.

As a guy from N. La I’ve always said her accent is highly exaggerated for effect.

I have several friends from NELA with that accent. It’s legit. Not everybody here is Cajun.
