Chambliss's strength is his mind and arm accuracy, not his size; hes athletic, but he uses it to supplement his ability, he doesn't rely on it.
And hes small - you are right, he won't make it to mid-season taking this many hits.

Chambliss is not Cam, Tebow, or even JFF
He doesn't have Lane Kiffin and Charlie Weis Jr. calling plays for him anymore that cater to his strength. He has a defensive minded head coach who has no clue what to do on offense.
It was similar to Florida when Mullen left after 2008 and Tebow suddenly had an offensive line coach as an OC. It's a big reason why Tebow regressed in his senior year in 2009. Chambliss looks like he's already regressed.
