The author seemingly doesn't even know the difference between a school buyout and a coach buyout. I think Brian Kelly’s buyout was 2 million and Franklin’s at 1 million.
I’m not sure how I can take any of this seriously if they don’t know this basic fact in their own industry.

Lombardi never played in the NFL. Maybe I’m being too broad in my thinking of what constitutes having never played.

I just don't see the big boosters paying to get him with that buyout and what he would make. He would need more of a track record. Kiffin gets a pass on that because he is at Ole Miss with a much smaller buyout.
