He has been extremely impressive so far this year. He’s made a few throws into extremely tight windows over the middle of the field. He is also much faster than I expected him to be based off how he was discussed as a player in fall camp.

I think Kirby and the Dawgs are going to make it a major part of the gameplan to prioritize QB containment on any non money downs so anything that isn’t 3rd and 6+ and try to make him stand in the pocket and beat us from within the structure of the system which I think he’s shown the ability to do, it’s just a likely going to be a better defensive gameplan in winds of 20mph than to go all out on pressuring him especially on early downs where we can lose gap integrity and since we play a bunch of man on the back end the opportunity will be there for him to break contain and imo that’s where he is at his best and carve us up with his legs or find someone deep downfield because no secondary can cover in man for 5-6 seconds +


If we can stop the run consistently in our base 4-2-5 I like our chances to win the game but if we are forced to keep 3 LBs on the field most of the game including 2 inside LBs to spy him then it’s going to be a long night where we will need to be able to trade scores.
