Their program will die with the rest of the ACC. Completely irrelevant in the modern game.

Remember a few years ago when Clemson to the sec was being mentioned? How terrible of a decision would that have been.

I think it’s more Dabo than Clemson. This will be his last year

SEC needs to scoop Miami and Virginia Tech for TV market reasons. I know how that sounds but that could finish the ACC off proper like.

They’re a podunk cow college in the middle of nowhere, SC who only ever competed financially because they were far more aggressive laundering money to players in an era where you could actually face consequences for doing so.

Now that big money is involved, they are irrelevant poors

Disgusting suggestion. Who gives a frick about the ACC

Certainly not enough to continue diluting the SEC brand by inviting these outsiders.

It's not like Knoxville is some bustling major city. Knoxville is pretty isolated, and unlike South Carolina, Tennessee isn't known for producing a lot of recruits outside of Nashville and Memphis.

Clemson can still be good if they get the right coach. They can still easily own recruiting in the Carolinas, which is significant. They have a great stadium and a passionate fan base. Dabo's time has simply passed.

lol you are living in 2010. They are poor and can’t compete financially for players

If the SEC goes to 20, I want Miami (rising program again and access into South Flroida), Georgia Tech (to prevent the Big 10 getting a footprint in the deep south), NC State and Virginia Tech. NC State and Virginia Tech bring North Carolina and Virginia markets to them, as they easily have as big of a fan base in football (if not more) than UNC and UVA.

And you're still living in the 1990s. 1998 buddy. Maybe it's time for us to remove Tennessee from the conference. I mean what does Tennessee really contribute at this point? At least Vandy gives team a road trip to Nashville for a fun weekend.

Dabo is not on board with modern college football, and that’s commendable. Most of us agree.

But it’s not gonna work in the W column and keeping a job at a place like Clemson. They can turn it around with the right coach and different mindset.

Knoxville is awesome and has a lot to offer. It’s growing just like the middle Tennessee region.

Y'all are gonna think I'm full of shite, but he actually expressed interest in the Arkansas opening last year through his agent and tested the waters

So 2.5 hours from Nashville, 3 hours from Atlanta, 4 hours from Charlotte is isolated?

It’s not the fricking portal, it never was.

Dabo is nothing, he has no system of his own. Without Venables and Elliot he is trash, always has been. He was a bagman and a sign stealer with two great coordinators.

Not as fast as the Greenville area (not far from Clemson) and most of the Upstate of South Carolina. South Carolina is the fastest growing state of the United States. I can confirm due to getting stuck in terrible traffic around Greenville in I-85.

I'm not saying Knoxville isn't a fun place. But Clemson isn't a slouch either in that regard. And Clemson has far more of the traditional college town feel than Knoxville.
