I might overlook a DV allegation for a 3 star diamond in the rough.

I probably wouldnt have decided to take the ACT on the day my team has a playoff game, to the point of missing most of the game.

Think you need to look up "Self defense" vs. "murder"

He shot and killed a guy, it’s not my place to determine the legality of the situation.

If that was the only situation, sure, but he has one of those things happen every 10 days.
I already said I think a flyer on him works for some places, but he's absolutely a trainwreck.
Trainwreck? Some differences with a highschool coach and a teacher seem to be the sum total of his transgressions. So he has a strong/willful personality. Nothing a clean slate and a new environment cant fix. He takes a ton of flak over UGA not allowing him to be an early enrollee(really wanted to be done with highschool and a toxic environment) and UGA greatly mishandling of that situation. But the kid doesn't have legal trouble that I am aware of, is a hard worker, and capable in the classroom.
Why does everyone (especially UGA with its 5-7 arrests per offseason) pretend this kid is toxic?

This is some grade A spin zone.

- He's been suspended MULTIPLE times, not just that once
- He skipped part of a playoff game to take the ACT
- He had the cell phone incident (not much a team player as you' can start to take in)
- He didnt have his academics in order
- He commits/signs with UGA after having a new favorite every other week then backs off on that a week later begging to be released from LOI
He had disagreements with a highschool football coach that he will likely never see again. Oh no.
He actual put academics above a highschool football game and a coach he had issues with but stuck it out and stayed with the team? STUDENT ATHLETE....
He never committed to UGA. He signed a binding aide agreement in the early signing period party based on the idea he was going to be an EE because the UGA support staff sold him on it. When he couldn't EE he wanted out of his binding agreement to commit were he could EE. Since being released he cannot commit to a school. So the rumor mills saying he say committed are false.
So again I'll ask. Since the worst thing folks can honestly say is that he butted heads with a highschool coach is it really fair to treat him as toxic?

I’m sure it’s easier to have this as the official story when your father is a LEO.

Yeah, again, you're just clueless here.
Do you really think all these schools backed off him because "oh he just had a couple disagreements with a coach", I mean really?
You should know it's bad when in the SEC the only teams left willing to take a 5-star regardless of their rap sheet are the only ones who just dont care about clearly troubled kids anymore (Tennessee/Florida).

Holy cow you are completely clueless. He signed his LOI and sent it in, he had to be asked to get released from that. It wasn't an "aide agreement", it was a national letter of intent. Yo udont need to be asked to be released from an aide agreement. He signed his LOI to UGA and sent it in and asked to keep it quiet until he announced at the all american game a couple weeks later. Yo ucant be this clueless, it's entirely out there for anyone to see this information
There's literally no reason for him to sign some aide agreement, it was the SIGNING PERIOD. That was the whole point of adding the early signing period, to get rid of the financial aide agreement which was a joke previously.
UGa had to release him from his letter of intent. You dont get "Released" from an aide agreement.
