Would you rather have a solid 4 star with a high floor or a physical freak of a 3 star

Who is super raw, hasn't had the best coaching or workout routine, but turns heads when he runs or walks in the building. I know everyone wants the cant miss studs who also come from top high schools but there's only 50 or 60 of those kind of athletes every year. Every school has to take players that one thing or another usually against them. So what type of player would you rather your team take a chance on?

State has made a living off the physical freak 3-star and coaching them up.

Big schools can’t afford to take as many risks where this is where successful smaller schools make their living. If Missouri or Louisville is offer a kid- you better give them a second look.

I will take the 4 star in most situations.

Johnny Manziel - 3 Star. Kyler Murray - 5 Star
Give me a 3 Star with a work ethic and something to prove every day.

Player? As in singular? I'm cool with taking a chance on the raw kid as long as the rest of the class is solid. I would take a full class of low risk 4*'s over one full of raw 3*'s.

Von Miller was a very raw 3-star. Worked out OK.

So was Mike Evans and I heard he was toiling away somewhere in the NFL.
