Why didn't LSU go after Eddie Smith? They didn't even make a real effort for him did they?

Saban and company really likes his upside, supposedly more than the 5* Cali CB (ITS) we were in on up until this past week. You would think that LSU would've gone after him even if they thought they were getting Surtain.

Too complicated to explain. Coach O playing chess while Saban playing checkers

Because we have Ed O as coach. That's all you need to know.

Smith on film looked like a high 4* kid to me, does he not fit the LSU profile for DBs?

They are usually incredible at identifying and developing corners so no troll here, just curious?

Fair enough. Letting a prospect at a position of need get out of your state without even putting forth much of an effort is pretty crazy, even for O.

They were absolutely confident we would get Surtain, no other way to explain it. What really is inexplicable is telling Goodrich to wait it out until last night because they wanted Foster so badly.

Now we have 0 CBs in the class
