Not that I actually think this thread is catered to us but I imagine with the coaching turnover we are in currently Allen will be the highest rated player we sign unless we get Hunter Henry to commit.
Now a new coach may come in and grab/flip somebody late but I doubt it.
Also, I think Allen is going to move up the rankings a bit when Rivals and 247 do their next rankings adjustments. He has apparently been very impressive over the 7v7 circuit so far this summer. His brother jumped from like the #12 or 13 pro-style QB to #5 after Rivals finally saw him in person. I imagine you might see something similar here. Not as far up a jump of course since he is at #17 currently but pushing top 10.

I also anticipate this happening. VERY underrated prospect.

I noticed that he posts on both sites. He seems informed, is he not?

I realize this is a noble flame attempt but ours will be RSJ, Derrick Griffin or someone like Ishmael Wilson in a worst case scenario. Depends on what happens and what rankings you use.

State also has the chance to get Tony Connor from South Panola.
Serious question for fans of the Mississippi schools: Do you really care whether you get prospects from South Panola? Those guys can't stay eligible to save their lives. The state board of education -- heck, the national board of education, if there is such a thing -- needs to invade that school doing curriculum checks and certifications all over again. The amount of attrition once USP student-athletes "graduate" high school and go to college is a joke.
Of ALL the big-time football prospects USP has produced in the last decade or so, I can count on my hand how many actually panned out, made it through college and lived up the their potential (Pegues, Bobo, the Jerry brothers and Sanford).
Just seems like it's a matter of time before those guys are either transferring to a DII school or off a team altogether. For their sakes, I hope Temario Strong, Isaac Gross and now Tony Conner are the exceptions, but I won't be holding my breath.

The South Panola kids who have signed with State always qualify. Our current commit Deon Mix is a solid student and already made a qualifying ACT score.
