I believe we practiced at the Saints' facility for the 2009 Sugar Bowl. I would expect the same thing this time, since LSU would more than likely practice in Baton Rouge, with just a walk-through at the Superdome.

Yeah, glad to hear he's a pocket passer. Most of the vids I've seen only highlight his running ability. Until he could start it wouldn't hurt to use him like how OU uses Bell, or how Auburn attempts to use Frazier.
I have seen Winston in person four times since he was a freshman (playing against my son's high school). He can pass. He can run. He can read a defense.
If he goes to UA, they should make the most of what little time he is there.

He's a Dual Threat, which is a nice asset, but not what works in our usual system.
He's a pocket passer with the ability to run, if the play breaks down. Coach Saban has used athletics QBs in the past. The system is tailored to the talent. That will be the case with whoever is hired as the new OC.

No real news, just speculation right now. I suspect it will start to heat up after January 9th.

I was thinking the same.

They practiced at the Saints' indoor practice facility and in the Dome in 2008... I assume they'll do the same this time. Does anyone know where they are staying when they are in New Orleans?

Probably st Augustin high to scoop up more la recruits, but this time at Frank Wilson's and Honey badger's former highschool.

Only if they have an in-door practice facility. Alabama will only practice in the Hank Crisp Indoor Facility while in Tuscaloosa. They'll have the same practice regimen once they convene in New Orleans.

You'll probably have one flown in just for the occassion.

Only the high schools in Texas have indoor practice facilities...

I really hope we take Hackenberg instead of McCrary next year. Especially if we get Winston. We need to continue to reel in Pro-Style QBs.

Sorry posted this in Dixon to UA thread, but meant to post it in here:
Trey is right we will sign 30, if needed 2 will greyshirt
I spent the last week with final calls before the dead period started to all my coaches etc
Here is my best guess on who we finish with and the latest info on each:
1. Alphonse Taylor - Still an issue with his mom signing the form but he doesn't even live with her and she doesn't even have partial custody, but because of the law in AL that both parents have to sign the rest of the family is trying to file an injunction, bottom line is he will be at Bama one way or another soon.
2. Jameis Winston - The staff has been steadily working on flipping him to Bama despite him being an FSU commit, nothing worked on HIM quite as much as the camraderie he had with the Bama commits at the AL/MS all star game, pretty much sealed the deal, this one won't happen until after NSD, but at this point I would be FLOORED if he isn't enrolling at Bama.
3. Cyrus Jones - Actually would've commited a week or so ago had a spot not opened up at the UA game to commit, he has basically shut everything down recruiting wise so he knows where he is going, Bama, just waiting on his opportunity to have a national stage to commit. Another shocker if he doesn't pick Bama in January.
4. Eddie Goldman - Apparently toward the last month or so FSU had a slight edge and Bama has not only overtaken the lead but we have gained some ground over the 'Noles. I stated a few days ago that us bringing in Taylor as a NG allows EG to come in immediately and help off the edge, something he has wanted to have a shot at. Add to that the fact that his best friend CJ will also be enrolling at Bama, and it looks like the trifecta to bring the #1 DL to Tuscaloosa. There is a long time before NSD for him to decide but right now I'm hearing Bama has such a heavy lead, I also expect him to be signing with Bama.
5. Jordan Jenkins - Thought to be a Bama lean for a long time, but things are starting to get interesting. In state school Georgia has made up serious ground in their pursuit of the state of GA's top prospect. For almost all fball season it looked like a Bama/UF battle, now it looks like UF is a distant 3rd to some, and then others are telling me UGA hasn't made up enough ground to get into his top 2 so there are conflicting thoughts. He has been close several times to committing and held off, he still has a spot, but honestly he is the one prospect I wouldn't be surprised to see sign with Bama or sign with UGA or even UF for that matter. I'll keep him in my list for now since the majority think Bama has a slight lead, but keep in mind he is the one I am least confident about.
6. Landon Collins - The top prospect Bama is after. The Bama/LSU battle is really starting to heat up for sure. This decision comes down to 2 things, who to follow, childhood friends to LSU or longtime GF to Bama, and his fav team or the hometown team. Both are great choices and offer the same opportunity for Collins and the heavy lead Bama had through the Summer and going into the season has heavily been made up by LSU thanks to tremendous success and a great visit this past weekend. My deciding factors on this are the fact that Bama was on him way earlier and had a heavy lead for a long tome but right now all I'm hearing is that it is a toss up so I am confident Bama gets him, but he is another prospect I wouldn't be totally surprised to see go either way.
That is 6 and fills up the spots we have available, there is talk of at least 1 being in bad shape grade wise (Gladney) and although I'm not ready to say he won't qualify, expect 1 of a few DL prospects to get a serious push if things start looking worse to fill his spot. A few names I'll give you are Channing Ward, Arik Armstead, McCullers (seems like his ship had sailed but he really wants to come to Bama BAD).
Hope you guys enjoyed that's all I got for now

What does it matter what the "majority" think? Why don't you just walk upstairs to Coach Saban's office and ask him what he thinks?

LoL Hi Hater
You are another Bama fan we are on the same team buddy just take what I say with a grain of salt if you wish and I will be right enough times to eventually earn your trust, but for now it would be nice of you to STFU
I meant my coaching friends all around the southeast of which I have a few in the know. I don't work directly for U of A that is all I can say but I have enough friends who do to stay in the know.
