If money were completely taken out of the equation, UGA would be in the best place of any school in the nation in terms of recruiting today.

No, not really. Saying NIL is definitely involved doesn't mean NIL is the only factor.

It’s the same reason North Texas ball players commit to OU on such high numbers. The regional sprawl is real. Tallahassee to the Georgia border is like 30 mins.

If Georgia is gonna be stingy with NIL with freshman it's only smart.
Georgia stands off and looks like a boomer to all the coaches who see money flooding in for their kids from FSU who are willing to do it just on spec to get the relationship.
If they can convert to wins near term they can start pointing to say FSU is the one to really believe in Georgia kids they risked the money.
At worst you are still getting great recruiting inroads.

You have a difficult time following conversations, don't you? We did this in another thread, too.
Here is how the conversation went:
DawginSC said: it's silly to suggest UGA doesn't have a hell of a lot outside of NIL going for it.
You:So what is Georgia doing for the kids they are getting nationally? Just giving them such feel good vibes they want to jump on board with Bowl Cut?
You do realize that Georgia was bringing in top 1-3 classes before NIL got involved?
Look. I have talked to you before and know that you will switch topics, claim I am wrong and ignore it when I post direct quotes proving what was said. There really is no use taking to you.

If you actually said
Before I said
You might have a point. But that isn't the order that conversation went, is it?

Post the comment I was replying to. The guy was talking about FSU buying players from Georgia, implying that they are doing something UGA wasn't/isn't.
Obviously NIL deal structures are different, but you can't sit there with the most NIL expenditure of any program in the country and complain about losing guys due to NIL. The money is there.
Shut up, you're such an idiot
ETA: How stupid do you have to be say "you're insinuating X", I essentially reply "No, I'm actually not.", and then you continue to reply, insisting you know better than I do what I'm saying with my own words
Suck it up, snowflake. I dont have to apologize for the way you interpret something. This board, and the world, don't revolve around you and your interpretations and perceived slights.

Pretty sure Dylan doesn’t need money. His Dad, is a 13 year NFL veteran. Maybe you didn’t know that he was a teammate of Matt Stafford for years at Detroit and that Staffords QB coach in college was none other than UGA OC Mike Bobo…

I have lives in South Georgia and I can assure you many players there have grown up Florida state fans. There felt like there was an almost even split in fans for each team. Now I did live an hour from Tallahassee so there is that.

Some parts of Southern GA are much closer to Tallahassee than they are to Athens.

They are paying more money than us. Got several that we want, but that's the game. Kirby is going to have to adjust if he wants these kids.
Kirby knows what the frick he's doing. There's more to it than just handing out money. You can't let an incoming freshman get paid more than a player that's gonna go first round. You have to balance these things for locker room chemistry.

Bobo might be the worst offensive coordinator in SEC history. Sucked at South Carolina, Auburn and Georgia.
Nobody moves to Buford for an upgrade in life

FSU is as popular or maybe more popular than UGA in parts of South GA
Might have been the case in 1995, but right now it's UGA and it's not even close.

I hope you're kidding. UGA gets more 5* kids the past few years than anyone...

CKS has made it known that if you come to UGA you’re going to have to bust your arse. Some kids don’t want to bust their arse.

I blame my team(LSU) for letting them win the last 2 years and become popular in the media. Most highschool kids follow recent trends.

The UGA fanbase wants to thank LSU and all of college football for letting the Dawgs win these last two years. We appreciate you. Special shout out to Bama for going into decline and also would like to recognize UF and AU for converting excellence into mediocrity these last 10 years.
Also Kirby hereby recognizes Dan Mullen’s 3 month recruiting season. Please show respect for the dead.
