Why are you here arguing with Aggie fans?

We found it easier to just point and laugh at them.

How? Legitimately. What impact does this have to either? Maybe I'm missing something?

future tampering &/or recruiting.

This I can see an argument for potentially, but nothing about what's been shared would support this as a valid basis to prevent the kid from playing...

Very fair questions, initially I'd say his "standing" is equal to why any of the coaches in Texas flag these questionable transfers... this is an epidemic in the football crazy state of Texas.

In the video you'll see the HC of the new school Demas is @ sharing with the committee that he called the prior coach to let him know "I had nothing to do with this from a tampering standpoint, the kid literally showed up". It's a hot mess in the state & the new school coach recognized the need to clear his reputation both initially and in the hearing with the UIL executive board (another of many examples of why the committee knew this wasn't a clean transfer). Further sampling of the epidemic of shady transfers in Texas was the three college coaches recognizing the need to inform that head coach that he was getting backdoored.. in the self serving dark world of recruiting, they saw the need to reach out.

Demas' old coach, if you revisit his testimony, spent as much or more time protecting his and the schools reputation and as he did in discounting Demas' actions & "story". He was/is not happy that he & the school were used as a large part of the reasoning for the transfer. He acknowledges that he felt no interference from the other staff, his target of blame was aimed directly at the personal trainer as the conduit for the transfer.

A UIL Media rep also came out a week after the decision to clear some of the misconceptions over the ruling that included reinforcing that Demas' old school was not found to be inadequate in any way.

The epidemic is real & it's at a boiling point with inner city schools and staffs in particular. It's one thing to grab a kid for mutual benefit, but to do so outside the rules & throw previous staff and school under the bus to support the cause? These staffs aren't going to lay down for that. Their primary concern are the "street agent" personal trainers.

The Demond Demas transfer issue & relationship with the personal trainer may not be ending here. Some of the same if not similarly associated parties have issues with another facet of the Demas & personal trainer relationship. I doubt it comes to light on the surface as it's another deck chair off the Queen Mary, but it's the other piece to this story.

Of course they did.

Was his previous school a member of hisd?

That organization is the most corrupt school board on the planet. They have acknowledged in the past that they do not care about what’s best for the kids, only what pays best for them.

The Hispanics and blacks have been fighting each other for power for about a decade now.

HISD fought this.. the committees that represent the UIL are regional & statewide once it goes to appeal.

The administrators fir the UIL are heavily weighted towards academics before athletics, transfer/appeals stats support that.

Politics in Texas high school sports? You bet, but it gets really touch once it gets to the State Exec Committee.. 6 reps from all areas of the state are hard to manipulate & @ a min, three usually have never touched a playing field nor have interest in athletics.

We aren’t talking the NCAA here, different dynamics in regards to relationship to purely athletics & financials.

I've been associated with the Host Family for over 10 years. They are great people and definitely care about the kid as a person. The situation is sad to say the least. The coach had nothing to get out of this beyond hurting the kid because he loss his best player. Tomball and North Forest never play each other.

Shitty situation, but I honestly think this is going to end up as a blessing in disguise now that he won't get injured playing for his high school team. Is he an early enrollee? (sorry if already answered on this thread)

Everyone knows this guy is already a bona fide stud, and he's proved it at camps / 7-on-7 / etc. against elite competition (unlike his old school's competition) to solidify his position as a 5-star recruit.

It'd be cool to watch him go toe-to-toe against high school's top competition in full pads, but that'll come soon enough when he's at A&M and likely starting Day 1

Pretty hard to see this guy having to stay all 4 years at A&M before being drafted.

Pretty sure he is taking Q. Davis spot on the field next Fall, however, it won't be full time. He isn't an early enrollee

I don't think he is. Something I didn't know about early enrollees until one of my coworkers (whose son will sign with an SEC school in February) told me was that if you enroll early, you have to pay your own way. Your actual scholarship doesn't begin until the fall.

Sorry to change the topic, but what's the opinion on him leaving early?

I read that for the first time this morning and so far the general consensus from the Aggie fanbase is that he could use another year. Is he good enough for first 4 rounds you think?

Davis has his degree. He needs the money.

It's very likely he would have gotten passed up by Demond Demas and Muhsin Muhammad (yes, he is the son of the NFL player)

Even though Kendrick Rogers has no shot of getting drafted, we really need him to declare as well.

Here's a fun fact...if Kendrick Rogers leaves, the only skill players left that signed with Kevin Sumlin will be Mond and Ausbon.

Kid is a great, dependable receiver. He's got his degree, and he isn't really going to improve his position by staying another year. Certainly not with Mond as his QB. I wish him the best
