I posted that on 7/7, and you came with your response two weeks later. You sure you can’t get me out of your mind?

He’s too dumb to actually follow along with a conversation to understand what I was talking about.

Man, you posted about an LSU signee that had South Carolina nowhere on his radar in a thread about South Carolina recruiting. You are the only person who doesn't recognize your unhealthy LSU obsession

And nobody was talking about Jordan Burch until insecure LSU fans started bleeding all over this thread about him and getting “taken care of” when LSU does the same thing. Get it now?

12 commits. #13 in the SEC in average rating (86.05)

An update after picking up some commitments since this was started based on 247 composite:

15 commits.

10th in the SEC, now ahead of UK, MSU, Vandy, and Ole Piss.

.8615 average rating.

3 recruits in the top 500.

8 recruits in the top 500 - 1000.

3 recruits not nationally ranked!

1 JUCO

One thing I'm interested to know is how much has our strategy and philosophy changed now that Bobo is here and now that Boom is hopefully spending more time recruiting defense.

Based on our WR commits it doesn't seem Bobo is impressed with the current speed of our offense.

Muschamp has gone full woke to try to fix the issues. It's impossibly hard. How can he get top SC talent away from someone like Clemson? Basically impossible. He is on a very hot seat right now and nothing to really sell to recruits.

I'd have to go back and look. I think he's only done 1 or 2 since being hired here and I think they were pretty early on.

Thus far Champ only lets his coordinators speak to the media once a year. I could see why with McClendon. That dude was a pain to listen to, but maybe the reigns will loosen on that with Bobo since he's more polished than McClendon in about every regard.

That's a good question because Boom has landed the top 2 recruits in SC the last 2 cycles. Namely Zacch Pickens and Jordan Burch. But Clemson fans will just say their offers became non-comittable once they left their official visits without committing. They do have the luxury of recruiting at a national level these days, but it's still important to have a pipeline in your own state.

Good news is South Carolina did beat Georgia last year

Yep. I’d say SC is UGA’s main threat in the east.

While UF gets better from Mac what is Scar they've had muschamp havent sniffed an 11-2 season

Lost by 21 to the champs and the dawgs combined

Can u even say u lost to Scar and LSU by that little

Nope and UF has 2 QBs better then Hillinski tf u smoking better pass catchers

Better everything I imagine this year

Yall havent played a gator squad with any depth yet and a ton of 3* congrats on ur wins

Like seriously u have 1 legit W by 7 pts nobody expected UF to win in 18. Fresh off 4 wins with Franks lol nobody

You probably saw 6-6 maybe 7-5 at best since Scar is your biggest threat lmfao

I would agree with that. His heart wasn't in it anymore the last season or two.

Definitely he was ready to go. But by his own admission his ego and nepotism kept him around and doomed the program.
quote:

Steve Spurrier told South Carolina athletic director Ray Tanner that he was ready to "call the press conference" and retire at the end of the 2014 season instead of returning for a disappointing 2015 that would include the Hall of Fame ball coach stepping away midway through the year after a 2-4 start.

Spurrier revisited his run with the Gamecocks in an extensive interview with The Athletic, with fond memories for the good times and some regrets for how things abruptly ended in Columbia. With 40 wins and an SEC East title across four seasons from 2010-13, Spurrier was responsible for the best run in program history.

South Carolina started the 2014 season with a 4-5 record marred by blown leads and a leaky defense. When the Gamecocks were able to pull out an epic 23-20 win against Florida in the SEC finale and then go on to beat Miami in the bowl game to finish 7-6, Spurrier was ready to to retire. But then a combination of Tanner, his wife Jerri, the fact that his sons were on the coaching staff and the opportunity to win 100 games at two different schools (he was 16 wins short at the time) brought Spurrier back for 2015.

"I sort of got greedy a little bit," Spurrier told The Athletic. "I said, 'That'd be neat [to win 100 games at two schools]. I'm not in that bad of shape, am I?' One thing led to another, and all the coaches had at least another year left on their deals. And I thought we had a decent team coming back. I really did. We thought we could scrap out eight wins or something like that."

The Gamecocks finished in the top 10 of the final polls in three straight seasons, which made the rapid decline in 2014 (7-6) and 2015 (3-9) so surprising. Spurrier identified a few potential reasons for the drop-off, including a complacency among the coaching staff that he thinks came from contract extensions after the 2013 season. There was also a sense that Spurrier's messages weren't resonating as well with the players either, including his tale of a quarterback that called him "bro" in practice and a severe decline in attendance for the team's weekly chapel services.

If SC could recruit like UF then they’d be the bigger threat. Muschamp has a better record against Smart and a better record against ranked opponents. Mullen is 2-22 against teams that finish with 2 losses or less. In 19 Muschamp played to win while Mullen played to make the game look closer. Not sure why Mullen decided to eat clock in the 4th down by 2 touchdowns, but it cost him the game. Mullen is supposed to be an offensive minded coach, yet he can’t score more than 17 against Smart. Muschamp scored 20 last game.

I like the guy, but Boom is a dead man walking, and the recruits know it. Tanner needs to fire him regardless of whether there is a season this year or not.

But Muschamp beat Smart! So as long he does that and do it regularly he will still be the HC.

I have a feeling that, for good or for ill, Marshawn Lloyd is about to save Muschamp's job. I've been trying incredibly hard to not look at everything I've read about him this offseason with garnet tinted glasses, but nearly everything points to him making a massive impact his freshman year. I have got the feeling that he's going to carry this team and win a few games that we probably shouldn't.

Some scuttle that Tyrion Ingram Dawkins is close to committing to VOLS (again).

Boom taking them on the chin time and time again.

We're definitely gonna start running the ball 30-40 times a game because of personnel/philosophy, and I can't wait.

Source? No Volunteer CBs yet it's close to happening "again"?

I wouldn't go that far until the kid actually commits and signs elsewhere.

I'm not optimistic about it at all because we've taken 2 5*, 2 4*, and some project DTs the last two classes.

I can't imagine what Boom is telling TID especially trying to run a base 3-4 defense.

I believe it will be all conference this season. So it will be rough for some teams like Mizzou and Tennessee, South Carolina, Kentucky, Arkansas, both Miss. schools, and Vandy.

Tiyon Evans had 100% CBs to South Carolina

Good point but I don't know if it's a fair comparison.

Still waiting on a source if you got it.
